[Yaria: Prayer of Time cosplay] Magical Girl Guardian Among Clouds and Blue Flowers

This blue-and-white color setting for Prayer of Time belongs to the category of cosplay costumes with extremely rich details among those I've worked with. To recreate that sense of lightness, we specially chose a real-scene studio with a dreamy setup this time. The blue-and-white floral arch, suspended white cloud props, and artfully arranged white Roman pillars created an atmosphere that fit the demeanor of this skin exceptionally well.

Let's talk about the costume and accessories first. The overall palette interweaves ice blue and pure white, with the strapless fluffy tulle dress placing high demands on tailoring. The outer layer consists of semi-transparent light blue stiff tulle, while the inner layer features a white lining with lace borders, supporting the skirt's rich layering. As for accessories, headpieces, shoulder pieces, and wristbands are covered with white pom-poms of varying sizes and blue-and-white bows. To prevent the pom-poms from sagging, custom shaping frames were used internally to hold their structure. A plush collar in a matching color was added around the neck, creating a sweet and adorable overall visual style. For the legs, White stockings extending over the knee were specially chosen, paired with light blue block-heeled lace-up high heels, which visually elongated leg proportions alongside the skirt length.

Regarding the shooting process, we experimented with quite a few high-angle and low-angle camera perspectives. Particularly in the first photo, where I lay on a giant plush round rug surrounded by blue-and-white themed plushies and plaid cushions, stacking these elements together made the composition look full yet cozy. The "15th Anniversary" embroidery on the edge of the rug also added a touch of commemorative feel. The large magic wand held in hand was a custom-made prop; although it featured a hollowed 3D structure that looked lightweight, it carried considerable weight in hand, requiring arm tension adjustments to hold it steadily for poses.

The trickiest part of this cosplay was actually managing the lighting. Studio cool white lighting combined with light blue reflectors effectively captured the sheer transparency of the tulle dress. To align with the cool-toned backdrop, base makeup was kept translucent and fair, softening contrast between highlights and shadows while emphasizing eye makeup and wig sheen. The wig was a pale golden-cream short hair, which needed to remain fluffy and clean to convey a cloud-like lightness.

Portraying a beloved support character like "Princess Yao," the key disposition to grasp is that harmless yet reliable softness. As the saying goes, "soft supports are still supports," and I hoped to convey that heart desirous of protecting teammates through this cosplay. In composition, we intentionally reserved angles turning back or looking straight into the lens to enhance connection with the viewer. A complete shoot required continuous communication with the photographer on camera angles, and set construction also took significant thought in balancing prop placements to avoid any out-of-character slip-ups or compositional imbalance. I am extremely satisfied with the clarity and dreamy vibe of the final photos; the Magical Girl setting of this Prayer of Time skin delivered even greater healing power in the actual shoot than I had anticipated.
