[Vulpisfoglia cosplay] Arknights: An Unexpected Take on the Top-Tier Guard

Just yesterday she was still being teased as merely average, yet she is a must-pick in my lineup every single time—when used as a guard, she is undeniably top-tier in every way. I finally carved out time to shoot this outdoor fan-designed Vulpisfoglia set prepared during the Arknights 6th Anniversary. Before the shoot, the plan was to do a mother-daughter pairing alongside a Suzuran Cosplay, having scouted props and locations in advance. However, my friend had an unexpected emergency, leaving me to push through with a solo Vulpisfoglia shoot that day. The pink kimono, sleek light-blonde straight wig, colossal animal ears, and voluminous fluffy tail formed the core visual highlights of the outfit. That fluffy tail, however, was quite a hassle outdoors; when sitting down in the woods, it frequently jammed into the gaps of the wooden chair back, requiring the crew to adjust its positioning multiple times to capture the most natural flow. I chose a woodland filled with purple Chinese violet cress as the backdrop; the low purple blossoms and towering tree trunks, bathed in soft, filtering natural light, immediately evoked an enchanting atmosphere. To honor the guard role, I deliberately avoided overly fragile or cutesy poses, keeping my gaze resolute while resting my hand on the basket. Yet, because the garment itself features soft pink hues, facial expressions had to balance a subtle contrast of warmth and chilly poise. Solo shoots always demand extra stamina—I had to check the reflector to monitor expressions while constantly guarding against wind blowing my bangs out of place. Although missing the duo shoot left a slight twinge of regret, I was genuinely satisfied with how the final photos turned out. The post-processing philosophy aimed for a natural, authentic aesthetic, avoiding excessive face slimming or skin blurring, only fine-tuning color depth to embrace an organic forest aesthetic. All in all, it was a thoroughly fulfilling and professional 2D offline cosplay experience. My favorite shot in this set is the one seated on the wooden bench; the seamless blend of blossoms and background firmly brought this fan-concept persona to life. I look forward to preparing again when the chance arises to finally complete that missed mother-daughter shoot with Suzuran.
