Ever since I chose this Office outfit style casual wear for Ushio Noa from Blue Archive, I was highly looking forward to the final visual results. This set of photos attempts to recreate her workplace image as the secretary of Millennium Science School—composed, unhurried, yet with a touch of mischievous cunning. For the clothing, I chose a white shirt that is slim-fit yet comfortable, with a cut that closely matches the character setting. Paired with a reflective black leather bodycon miniskirt, sheer black stockings, and pointed stiletto high heels, the overall styling instantly delivers that visual impact of an 'intelligent secretary.'
The highlight of the outfit is her iconic blue-and-white halo. To wear it stably without it looking out of place, a lot of thought went into adjusting the internal support bracket. Combined with the blue ID lanyard, all the visual details are fully present. During the shoot, we specially chose a cool-toned studio set, with a few lab coats hanging in the background, utilizing depth of field blur to make the subject pop even more. Since the skirt has a bodycon design and is paired with high heels, I had to pay close attention to my posture when standing. However, when kneeling halfway to tie a shoelace or turning around sideways, it instead brought out Ushio Noa's gap-moe trait—seemingly cool yet casually playful.
Although the whole process required maintaining poses for a long time to cooperate with the lighting, seeing the texture of the clothes, the layers of light hitting the hair strands, and the touch of agility shining through the purple-pink eyes in the final prints made all the hard work completely worth it. Interpreting everyday characters is often harder to grasp than combat forms, as it requires blending the character's personality traits into natural movements. I hope this photo set filled with a workplace atmosphere brings out a different side of Noa through this Anime-style photography session.
