These are some private behind-the-scenes shots from this shoot that I particularly like. Although shooting from this top-down angle makes the facial shadow distribution a bit strange and perhaps unconventional, I must praise the leg lines shown in this composition; the visual stretching effect is truly excellent, even a bit stunning to me. To restore the cool yet lively texture of Reimu as much as possible, I spent a lot of time on the details of the red and white costume, the layering of the lace, and the texture of the accessories. At the shoot, to capture the most natural state that fits the character's personality, we tried many different standing positions and lighting combinations. Although there were many trivial details to polish and communicate repeatedly, seeing the fresh and high-end atmosphere of the final result makes all the hard work feel worth it. This styling pursues a subtle balance: it needs to accurately restore the core visual symbols of the Touhou Project character while incorporating some personal expression that fits current aesthetics. I hope these photos can bring some visual healing to friends who love Anime-style photography.
