[Cissia Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero's Snake Girl: The Props and Wardrobe Were Seriously Challenging

The moment this costume arrived, I immediately inspected the upper bodice fabric. The leather paneling with its red-and-black contrast is exquisitely tailored; the cut across the bust and waist must hug body curves seamlessly, while the structured three-dimensional neckline, combined with the black choker, required patient micro-adjustments during dressing to achieve a smooth, flush finish. The detachable sleeves are white with black trim and buckles, needing precise alignment with the shoulder straps. Down below, the black pleated skirt and the star-patterned corset are separate pieces; cinching the corset tightly was essential to anchor the skirt in place, delivering an exceptionally rich sense of visual layering.

What caused me the biggest headache during this shoot was actually the massive white tail. To make it drape naturally with an organic curve, it was built around an inner wire armature encased in white fabric, tapering to a sharp red-and-black tipped terminal piece. In the standing frame, I had to balance the full weight of the tail using core stability while gripping the ritual staff in hand. The glowing figure-8 emblem atop the staff performed brilliantly in low light, but the sharp red barb at its base meant I couldn't rest it directly on the floor for leverage—my arm had to support it continuously throughout the takes. The seated shot was even more demanding, as I had to simultaneously manage the splay angle of my legs and the coiled placement of the tail on the floor. The chunky black boots featured intricate strap harnesses and metal buckles; while they elongated the leg line beautifully, they restricted ankle mobility, requiring repeated leg adjustments when seated to face the camera naturally without looking strained.

Styling the hair and makeup was equally pivotal. The wig is long, wavy hair in a milky blonde with golden undertones, featuring two distinct upturned cowlick locks at the crown that had to be sculpted individually. I applied heavy amounts of hair gel and setting spray beforehand to ensure they wouldn't collapse while walking around the convention floor. For eye makeup, I blended reddish-pink gradients across the lids, paired with amber-orange contact lenses that took on a sharp, piercing focus beneath convention hall downlights; deepening the lower eyelid gave the gaze extra definition. For the lips, I selected a deep berry tone that harmonized with the red-and-black wardrobe palette.

Ambient illumination on the convention floor was chaotic, so the photographer deployed external fill lights to preserve dark shadow details and garment textures. During the standing poses, I constantly adjusted the height of the staff and the coiling sweep of the tail; the combination of Stockings and leg garters shifted easily when walking, necessitating adjustments to the crossed straps every few takes. The convention floor was buzzing with fellow creators and crowds preparing for shoots, but the second the lens focused on me, I tuned out external distractions to embody the character entirely.

Overall, the layering of details across this cosplay's wardrobe and props was immense, demanding serious physical stamina throughout the wearing and shooting process. Yet seeing the costume's silhouette, prop textures, and lighting converge to meet my vision in the final frames proved that bringing such a complex look from concept art to reality is pure creative joy.
