"This isn't a punishment—it's pure reward!" That line perfectly sums up my mindset while shooting this set. Although getting into the costume felt like an ordeal, seeing the final frames turned all that prior struggle into sweet gratification. The construction of Promeia's outfit from Zenless Zone Zero is notably intricate: once the zipper of the form-fitting bodysuit is pulled up, breathing deeply becomes a genuine challenge, while the back tattoo decals and metallic hardware load substantial weight onto the shoulders. Yet, the bodysuit's sculpting properties excel on camera, effortlessly carving sharp contours paired with over-the-knee boots and long white gloves for a crisp silhouette.
A brisk wind blew on the night of the shoot, making lighting in the nocturnal setting demanding. Armed with a high-speed Sony mirrorless body, the photographer swiftly locked focus against intense blue industrial illumination and distant warm-yellow bokeh from bridge traffic, forging an engaging cool-warm contrast tailored to Promeia's aloof, mechanical persona. Low-angle perspectives were utilized to elongate leg lines and frame the chest details, requiring rigorous posture control to keep proportions statuesque. Capturing the dynamic flutter of the trench coat hemline demanded repeated takes to nail that kinetic yet enigmatic tension. The fifth full-body frontal shot remains my personal favorite—centered, statuesque, and harmonizing the cold edge of Cyberpunk with feminine grace. Balancing aloofness with nuanced micro-expressions and preserving leather specular highlights in post-production made this collaborative Anime-style photography session thoroughly rewarding.
