[Ellen Joe cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero's Shark Maid: A Cool and Alluring Cyberpunk Maid

When I first received this Ellen Joe styling set, my immediate impression was how meticulously it was designed. The classic black-and-white contrast, accented with glossy materials and metallic hardware, seamlessly blends the gritty street edge of Zenless Zone Zero with a futuristic sci-fi vibe. In particular, the black leather bodysuit on the upper half, with its subtle luster gleaming under the overhead lights, visually maximizes the character's crisp, razor-sharp aura.

To get closer to the character, plenty of thought went into refining the makeup and hair. The eye makeup deliberately elongated the eyeliner, paired with reddish-brown colored contacts to create that signature lazy yet aloof gaze. The subtle gradient pink streaks at the hair ends cast a neon-like glow under various lighting conditions. Finished with long red press-on nails, even subtle, inadvertent gestures exude the character's rebellious attitude. Truth be told, once worn—especially with the tactical pouches and metal clasps around the waist—the costume is quite heavy, but for the sake of high-end image quality, it all becomes a worthwhile "sweet burden."

For this shoot, I firmly insisted on low-angle perspective shots. As seen in these final cuts, a low angle not only elongates the leg proportions to make the Black stockings cosplay lines appear sleeker in frame, but more importantly, it crafts a commanding sense of oppression and detachment. Combined with my downward gaze and the caption's playful remark, "I don't have much patience," it perfectly captures the Shark Girl's tsundere, decisive, and slightly irritated temperament. Adjusting poses and angles to lock in the ideal body curves and gaze on camera required numerous retakes—after all, holding a cool, fierce expression while balancing body weight and skirt drape is quite physically demanding.

Beyond the main outfit, the detailed accessories form the soul of this styling. The maid headband incorporates mechanical criss-cross X-shaped metal buckles, breaking away from the fragility of traditional Maid outfit designs. The black 3D cross-straps at the knees echo the black stockings wonderfully, adding a sense of dynamic strength. The large indoor floor-to-ceiling windows provided ample natural light; when the side backlighting hit the leather, the glossy sheen was breathtaking. Throughout the shoot, whether the ruffled frills or the tough leather straps, every element worked together to build a complete persona for this character.

Stepping into the world of Zenless Zone Zero through cosplay to embody such a multi-dimensional, charming character is an immensely fulfilling experience in itself. Even standing completely still, this styling commands plenty of visual tension and narrative depth.
