Everyone finally managed to align their schedules today for a get-together at a Japanese restaurant. I cosplayed Sunna this time, and in preparation for today's meetup, I spent days working on this black-to-pink gradient wig. The pink tips required careful teasing to build soft layers, which, paired with the oversized statement pink bows atop my head and the smaller cyan bows flanking the sides, instantly dialed up the cuteness to the max. For makeup, I opted for vivid red contact lenses, which gleamed brightly under the restaurant's warm amber illumination. Smudging the reddish blush around the eyes and cheekbones went through endless fine-tuning before striking that sweet spot between anime stylization and seamless, natural gradation. The black cat-silhouette choker paired with a crisp white shirt collar and cold-shoulder cutouts framed my collarbones beautifully while keeping the character's playful edge. The sleeves featured crimson ruffled hems, cyan satin ribbons, and plush black faux-fur bands along the upper arms, giving the outfit rich textural contrast—though eating required utmost vigilance to keep those sleeves far from stray soy sauce.

Later on, Aria and Nangong Yu arrived, and the three of us huddled close for group snapshots. Aria's white ruffled headdress adorned with cat ears and ghost motifs looked exceptionally radiant; her cheerful peace sign before the lens felt delightfully animated. Nangong Yu wore a pastel pink wig with a distinctive lime-green streak through the bangs that gave her high visual recognition, accented by icy blue contacts and mechanical-style headphones that granted her an utterly distinctive presence. Finding angles and adjusting stances together captured that genuine, effortless camaraderie among close friends. Holding chopsticks in hand, I kept my facial expression relaxed, lifting one hand casually to maintain an unforced, candid gesture. On our table, sushi rolls were generously piled with bright orange tobiko, while a hot pot brimming with napa cabbage and tender sliced meat bubbled away gently. Navigating a meal in full cosplay is undeniably clumsy—especially when reaching across the table—yet chatting about makeup techniques and wig-styling tricks over good food created an unbeatable atmosphere.

As cosplayers, assembling an entire look from base makeup and styling to wigs and intricate attire always demands patience. The indoor ambient lighting today was somewhat tricky, with heavy yellow casts from the ceiling downlights; capturing tighter portraits meant constantly angling our faces so the light illuminated facial contours evenly, allowing the makeup's fine textures to shine through. Meeting up with friends was far more than just sharing a meal—it felt like a much-needed, revitalizing retreat. In the heat of conversation, we constantly checked each other's bangs and straightened ribbon bows. Walking through real life in garments we adore alongside kindred spirits brings an irreplaceable sense of fulfillment. Once full and content, slipping back into our outerwear brought this joyful gathering to a wonderful conclusion.
