[Yixuan Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero OL Headcanon: Office Hours Have Begun

Putting on this Yixuan OL headcanon outfit and standing in a pure white office setting, I felt like I immediately entered a whole new mindset. Instead of a hardcore recreation of her original design, I tried an OL (office lady) headcanon, using pure black and pure white to construct a visual contrast. Her long silver-white hair paired with black geometric hair ornaments, along with those thin red-framed glasses, really brings out the character's unique temperament in terms of overall atmosphere. The combination of black stockings and black pointed high heels, paired with high-brightness cool lighting, elevates the texture and sharp efficiency of the whole scene.

Regarding outfit fabric choices, the upper black shirt features a slight silk texture, creating a nice contrast with the matte texture of the stockings below. This keeps it from looking greasy under strong lighting and gives a smooth, clean outline instead. Paired with a fitted black skirt and a lanyard work ID badge, the key to this kind of professional attire lies in balancing the posture. If sitting upright, it looks like a very professional worker; but once legs are propped up on the desk and leaning back, that contrasting languid feeling comes through. For the first photo, I picked a cover-worthy pose: sitting on a black mesh office chair with legs slightly crossed, one hand lightly resting on the chair edge, eyes focused on the camera. The second photo is more casual: grabbing a TO-DO list, resting feet on the white office desktop—which is actually much closer to how I work in private.

Talking about the state of roleplaying, I feel Yixuan herself naturally leans cool, aloof, and decisive. In this OL headcanon look, I intentionally heightened her professional vibe while adding a few of my own habitual movements—such as adjusting her glasses or that sense of ease when staring directly into the lens. When shooting this theme, an all-white scene heavily tests lighting control; reflector boards reduced facial shadows while retaining modern office elements in the background like file cabinets, wall newspaper boards, and desktop pen holders, ensuring rich details in the frame rather than just monotonous white.

Regarding a point mentioned in the post caption, 'apologies to all.' I fully understand everyone's love for the character, and while headcanon designs look great, they aren't official standard versions. Personally, as long as there is a deep understanding of the character, interpreting different styles is a great endeavor. Particularly with this wig, to prevent it from looking dull gray in natural light, a lot of hairspray was used during styling to achieve this strand-by-strand definition. The positioning of the glasses, including how bangs frame the rim, provides a more authentic everyday feel for this headcanon look.

During this photoshoot, I didn't deliberately strike overly exaggerated poses. The essence of an OL headcanon lies in naturalness. You rarely see an actual working professional strike exaggerated anime-style poses in a large office, so I tried to keep my movements like a normally relaxed worker. Crossing legs, resting my chin on one hand, squinting slightly at the lens—these subtle actions bridge the distance between the viewer and the character.

As a key element of this headcanon, the black stockings and high heels pairing adds a sleek, sharp feel to the outfit. This shoe shape makes the calf line look smoother, and combined with the overall high black-and-white contrast, the pure monochrome makes the images look sophisticated without cluttered color distractions. The post-processing color grading concept was to subtract as much as possible—brightening ambient light while deepening dark areas to create a clean, translucent office atmosphere.

As a cosplayer, every attempt at a new headcanon or scene deepens my understanding of the character. Yixuan's traits are naturally multifaceted. When wearing this outfit in this environment, I involuntarily step into a calm, confident state of mind, which feels truly wonderful.
