This shoot features the Angels of Delusion outfit for Sunna from Zenless Zone Zero. The studio set was predominantly pink-toned, perfectly matching the character's concept and fulfilling the dreamy aesthetic I sought for daily shoots. The costume is rich in detail—from the star pattern on the necktie to the colorway of the backpack, visually presenting strong 2D anime girl attributes. As a Guangzhou-based model, I invested tremendous effort into the prep work, especially the eye makeup. To accentuate the character's cuteness, I expanded the smudging range of the blush and eye makeup, which, paired with the facial bandage and cat-ear headpiece, instantly maximized the overall atmosphere.
In terms of styling, the most eye-catching element is undoubtedly the leg wear. White stockings paired with pink-and-white striped slouch socks and stacked black thigh garters, set against a solid black puffy miniskirt, created a striking black-white-pink color contrast that was visually impactful and beautifully flattered leg lines. The combination of the red necktie and white collared shirt added a subtle uniform vibe to the predominantly sweet look. During the shoot, posing was carefully chosen to preserve the youthful girl vibe—such as sitting on a plush rug casually crossing legs or tilting slightly to look toward the camera, which was not only relaxed and natural but also highlighted the layered styling.
For lighting, soft diffusion was used to avoid harsh shadows, making the skin look more translucent and allowing the pink backdrop to blend smoothly into the frame without looking muddy. Because I truly enjoy the shooting process, I spent a lot of time communicating with the photographer, studying how to position legs to accentuate lines and how to sit to avoid pressing thigh flesh, making the overall posture look lighter and more graceful. This capture with a relaxed gaze is one I am very pleased with, and it represents one of the most comfortable poses for showcasing leg contours in regular shoots.
The day of the shoot was actually exhausting with constant pose shifts and light adjustments, but seeing the finished photos made every effort worthwhile. Beyond visual fidelity, I aimed to express Sunna's unique charm—both sweet and slightly feisty—through this 2D anime girl style of photography. I hope these photoshoot daily routines and experiences offer some little inspiration to fellow fans who love this character or want to try similar outfit styling.
