[Sunna Cosplay] Lazy Catgirl Daily Life in Zenless Zone Zero

The theme of this shoot is Sunna's catgirl look from Zenless Zone Zero. To recreate this character, I selected a mint green slightly curled wig, trimming and styling it to give it a more natural curve. The hair color presented great texture under indoor cool lighting without any cheap plastic look, and its smoothness stood the test before the camera. As for accessories, the cat-ear headpiece features a black-and-white color-blocked design with ruffled edges, fixed securely so it wouldn't shift even with slight head movements.

The outfit portion utilized a custom black-and-white paneling style for a maid outfit cosplay, with a red tie bound at the collar printed with a white cat head pattern; the large brass bell hanging at the chest is the visual highlight of the upper body. The cuffs feature a puff sleeve design, paired with armbands bearing small cat face patterns, making the entire ensemble look both well-behaved like a maid outfit and possess the character's handsome aura. I checked every detail meticulously to ensure no stray threads or asymmetry appeared within the focal range of the photos.

Next up is the highly recognizable prop of this look—the red suitcase with a red sticker of the numbers \"3/4\" on the front. The surface of the box also features a plush cat face decoration, giving it a very grounded, everyday vibe. This box was also a great interaction tool during shooting; leveraging its height allowed for creating various camera angles. When sitting or crouching, the box naturally served as foreground, offering me more leverage points while posing to help me relax and present natural postures.

During Convention photography, the environment on the day of the shoot actually contained quite a few cluttered display racks and equipment. The photographer specifically used a large aperture and telephoto lens to blur out the background, bringing out the main subject. In post-processing, we also discussed light and shadow: the top strip lights on location created a sci-fi or ACG lifestyle atmosphere, while the main light source fell nicely on my face, preserving skin texture without recklessly chasing porcelain-white skin and losing contour line definition. Photographer Su Mo understood Sunna's character very well during pre-shoot communication, guiding me to make poses aligned with her personality.

Actually, besides being a Moe anime girl, Sunna carries a casual, lazy trait. So when shooting this set of photos, I didn't deliberately force overly exaggerated moe expressions, but tried my best to maintain a subtle state that was friendly yet slightly aloof. For instance, in the photo with both hands placed before the tie, the outfit's skirt spread out naturally, subtly revealing a bit of leg; paired with the small suitcase, it restored the character's essence quite well. Expression management in photos is also an art form—striking that exact boundary between smiling and not smiling makes it look truly natural.

Doing Convention photography with such an ornate costume really tests one's mental fortitude because many passersby are around, but once you enter character mode, external distractions fade away. During shooting, we tried upper-body close-ups and full-body sitting compositions with props; the final selected shots achieved a balance between displaying garment details and character atmosphere. I feel the most interesting aspect of cosplay is living as your favorite character within a specific moment, while recording those aesthetics and styling through photography.
