[Sunna cosplay] Summer in Zenless Zone Zero: Channeling Good Vibes by the Poolside

For this Zenless Zone Zero Sunna shoot, we chose the inwave Water park at Luxes' Island. The 40 RMB ticket included free-flow drinks, offering incredible cost performance for an outdoor shoot needing water elements. It was slightly crowded over the weekend, but finding the right angles still allowed us to secure clean backgrounds. Preparing for this set involved substantial care. Sunna's styling features light hair and a one-piece swimsuit, so for wig styling, I deliberately sculpted voluminous curls while keeping the twintails lively, complemented by small forehead barrettes to faithfully channel the character's sweetness. The pink-and-white striped sleeves and pink backpack served as signature touches, with white wing ornaments on the pack giving profile shots greater three-dimensional depth. Because this was a swimsuit look, body line management was the biggest challenge on set. Projecting curves in a one-piece and fine-tuning leg lines to elongate proportions demanded precise angle selection during every snap. A wide aperture blurred out background high-rises and the pool, locking the visual focus entirely onto the subject and accentuating a translucent, clear texture. For posing, we explored single-leg standing, looking back over the shoulder, and leaning forward from a high angle. Standing on one leg created an airy silhouette while flawlessly displaying leg contours. To keep the compositions pristine, we deliberately picked clean, distraction-free backdrops. To capture the most organic candid moments, I regulated my breathing and sustained several sequences of poses. Under ample sunlight, gentle water ripples bounced soft specular glares. Throughout, I reminded myself to keep facial expressions relaxed and natural. I also paid attention to the tiled deck—stepping barefoot onto the cool tiles added an authentic, tactile summer feel. Shooting outdoor sets relies not only on the photographer's skilled guidance but also on one's own muscle control. For instance, when leaning forward, engaging the core while relaxing the shoulders brings out swimsuit allure without looking artificial. Before heading out in the morning, I double-checked the adhesion of my contact lenses and eye makeup; because humidity runs high near water, heavy setting spray was essential to keep the look spotless. The fit of the one-piece swimsuit was equally critical—this darker hue worked well for a slimming effect and popped vividly against the waterside setting. As the sun moved, lighting shifted rapidly, requiring fluid execution to avoid missing peak golden hours. We also factored in the placement of water reflections, shifting positions so messy dappled glares wouldn't wash over the face. Between takes, we exchanged ideas on merging purity with energetic charm through body language, which helped me stay relaxed and genuinely enjoy the summer outing on camera. After numerous adjustments to positioning and light, this collection captured our most genuine, effortless impressions.
