This blue and white puffy dress look took a lot of thought from the pattern-making stage. The huge vibrant red bow on the chest, along with the snowflake pendant at the center, is arguably the highlight of the entire visual. To recreate that fluffy yet delicate texture, a large amount of white lace and small pearl balls were used for patchwork at the skirt hem and cuffs. Although it feels quite substantial to wear, the resulting fluffy curvature perfectly fits the character's playful and agile image.
The part I am most satisfied with about this shoot is actually those holographic laser crystal props surrounding me. To properly manage these diamond-shaped shattered ice props from getting scratched or falling off, I specially used a very strong magnetic suction structure on the hidden support frames. They still reflect a rainbow-colored halo under the scattered natural light of a cloudy day; the actual shoot effect is incredibly dreamlike, turning out even more photogenic than imagined.
For the wig, high-quality ice-blue hair strands were deliberately selected, trimmed with straight bangs, and treated to be slightly fluffy. Paired with huge bows and snowflake hair clips on both sides, the overall head styling has plenty of volume. Because the character's setting inherently carries extreme recognizability, during this shoot at the convention venue, many fellow fans recognized me instantly along the way. Everyone greeted me warmly and even exchanged thoughts on the details of this outfit.
The makeup focuses on the combination of blue contact lenses and red lower eyeshadow, enhancing that agile doll-like feel akin to an ice and snow fairy. To maintain this atmosphere, I also specifically adjusted the red bow tie on my chest repeatedly during shooting breaks to ensure it wouldn't tilt because of walking around. The white lace patchwork tights and light blue platform Mary Jane shoes elongate the overall proportions of the lower body, forming a great echo with the layering of the skirt hem. Although the entire process was somewhat tough—having to wear a large, puffy skirt and strike various poses on the venue while constantly minding that the laser crystals didn't hit nearby people—seeing such a complete and vivid frame presented in the camera makes all the fatigue completely worth it.
What I look forward to most with everyday convention photos is for everyone to feel my dedication to the details of this outfit for this piece of Anime-style fashion. Although the venue was densely packed with people, the photographer's snapshot timing was exceptionally good, naturally combining the ice crystal style atmosphere with a casual street-snap feel. I hope everyone likes this translucent presentation with a touch of vibrant color-blocking.
