The convention photos from CICF_day4 have finally been sorted out. This time I am cosplaying Qingxiao from Wuthering Waves. The light outside the venue that day was quite good; although the crowd was bustling, the combination of a7cr paired with 50f14gm gave me a lot of room to play during shooting. The 50mm focal length is very suitable for capturing half-body and close-up shots in relatively cluttered environments like conventions, while the large aperture of f1.4 ensured sufficient light intake, and at the same time blurred the background crowds and clutter very cleanly, making my subject stand out exceptionally in the frame.

A lot of thought went into the clothing and styling to restore Qingxiao's texture. This light-blue-based floral spaghetti strap dress, paired with a semi-transparent light asakusa-green wide-sleeve outer cloak, has a lightweight and breathable material, presenting a natural flowing feel when walking. The wig is ice-blue with slight curls, fixed with white auspicious cloud-shaped hair accessories on top of the head. To increase the lively feel, light blue thin ribbons and tassels were woven into the hair strands. In terms of makeup, the pink shading under the eyes was intentionally accentuated, matched with bright blue contact lenses, trying to get close to that extraordinary fantasy temperament of the character. The earrings chose long pendants with cyan-green knots, and the event name badge was worn on the chest.

In terms of action design, I didn't deliberately strike particularly exaggerated poses, but tried to capture natural states as much as possible. For example, the action of stretching arms toward the lens in Photo 1 and Photo 6 can both enhance the sense of interaction with the lens and utilize perspective to make the body lines more relaxed and stretched. This dress is a slim-fit cut, coupled with the thin spaghetti strap design, which actually shows off the figure very well. When shooting Photo 5 and Photo 8, I turned slightly sideways, using light and shadow to outline the curves of the shoulders, neck, and upper body, showcasing a mature charm that is both fairy-like and slightly sexy. The look back and gentle cheek touch in Photo 2, as well as the posture of lowering the head and half-covering the face with the sleeve in Photo 3 and Photo 4, were intended to convey the character's quiet and gentle side. The fist-clenching action in Photo 7 is slightly playful, considered a little reverse-gap moe.

The entire shooting process went very smoothly; the photographer understood the visual presentation I wanted very well. The light and shadow texture of the original photos was already great, and the high-pixel camera retained the texture details of the skin and clothes. In terms of post-processing color grading, we retained the original cool color tone, avoided overly exaggerated skin smoothing, and tried our best to maintain a natural makeup look and on-site atmosphere.

Although the physical consumption was huge after a full day at the convention, seeing the final photos made all the fatigue feel completely worthwhile. There's no need for too many fancy words to describe it; putting heart into playing every character well and enjoying the process of showing different lives in front of the lens—this is the truest happiness cosplay brings me.
