This time cosplaying Sora, I truly poured my heart into recreating that delicate harmony of pure innocence tinged with melancholy from the original work.

Starting with the wardrobe, I chose Sora's iconic school uniform. The off-white sailor uniform top features a relaxed silhouette, with faithful recreation of the light brown color-blocking accents along the collar and cuffs, and a custom embroidered patch for the academy crest on the left chest. For the light brown plaid pleated skirt on the lower half, I paid extra attention to the pleat creases to ensure they maintained a crisp, structured drape even while seated. To align with the original aesthetic, I opted for sheer black pantyhose paired with black patent leather Mary Jane shoes; under studio lighting, this prevented the ensemble from looking overly heavy while accentuating clean leg lines. The wig was custom-styled with long, pale blonde twintails requiring thorough detangling for sleek smoothness, with repeated adjustments to the curve of the bangs to flatter facial contours. For makeup, the base was kept fair and pristine, focusing on the eye makeup with slightly downturned contours paired with soft pink blush to convey a fragile, gently distant demeanor.

The shoot was split into two distinct scenes: a vintage red curtain set and a classroom set. In the red curtain scene, I sat on an intricately carved wooden chair looking back over my shoulder, with stacked vintage books and a green rabbit plushie serving as key accents. The green bunny not only echoed character canon, but also softened the somber tone of the red-and-black palette. In this setting, I consciously relaxed my shoulders to let my posture take on a languid curve. Meanwhile, in the classroom set, the chalkboard, wooden wainscoting, and grey tile floors established an everyday Campus style ambiance. I explored three distinct poses: sitting facing forward adjusting my headphones, resting my chin on arms folded over the chair back, and crossing my legs while cradling the rabbit plushie.

Speaking of crossing legs while hugging the plush toy, it was actually the most demanding pose on core strength throughout the entire shoot. I needed to maintain upper-body stability while extending the leg lines naturally, all while ensuring the rabbit plushie didn't obstruct the sharp pleats of the skirt. The photographer took immense care with light and shadow, alternating between top lights and side softboxes to cast crisp, sharp shadows across the floor, adding a sense of geometric dimension to the frame. Throughout the session, I continuously communicated nuances of eye contact with the photographer. Sora possesses a rich inner world yet remains a girl of few words; hence, I avoided exaggerated facial expressions, mostly keeping a vacant or quietly observant gaze into the lens, locking the emotion within my eyes.

From trimming the wig and testing makeup shades to micro-adjusting every pose, everything was aimed at bringing that figure from prose and illustrations vividly into reality. The entire photoshoot felt like a renewed conversation with the character, sparking a truly unique resonance.
