For this Kasugano Sora cosplay, I specially chose an outdoor location with a stream and reeds. The white dress outfit reveals a soft texture under natural light, and with her iconic twin tails and white bows, the overall style is refreshing and clean. During the shoot, I paid close attention to the coordination of light and angles. For instance, in the 3rd photo where I stand on a rock lifting my skirt, it faces the backlight perfectly, bringing out the pleats and the sheer feel of the dress. The gray rabbit plushie was prepared on purpose; it's a classic element of Kasugano Sora, and holding it or placing it nearby helps increase the character's recognition. Outdoor photography is actually more demanding than studio shoots; the wind, lighting, and water reflections all need to be adjusted on-site. Fortunately, the weather was in our favor this time, and as long as I stepped firmly on the stones by the stream, I could maintain a natural pose. In terms of clothing, this white dress features a layered design with a lining and an outer mesh layer, creating a light, fluttering motion when walking. For shoes, I chose black Mary Janes with white lace socks, serving as a subtle detail of black-and-white contrast. This time, I tried a color grading with a fresh Japanese vibe, avoiding over-saturation and preserving the soft transition between the green plants and the white dress. What I enjoy most about cosplay is bringing anime characters into real landscapes, making it feel like the character itself has come alive. Although outdoor photography is tiring, the resulting photos have a sense of breathing room and carry more of a narrative than a plain background.
