This outfit presented this time is a highly recognizable classic look of Kasugano Sora from Yosuga no Sora. It features a simple white short-sleeved T-shirt, deep blue striped athletic shorts, and her iconic white over-the-knee socks as core elements. Combined with the ultra-long light gold twin-tails wig, the overall visual is both refreshing and carries that unique sense of frailty characteristic of the character.

The wig is the focus of this look, and I specially selected a material with a soft hair texture and moderate volume, so it has a great drape after being tied into twin tails without looking top-heavy. The dark piping on the collar and cuffs of the T-shirt adds an athletic feel, and the cropped design that exposes the midriff directly showcases the waistline. The athletic shorts have a loose fit, and the white stripes on both sides add a sense of visual extension, creating an upper and lower color harmony with the white stockings.

The shooting location was chosen in my daily-use e-sports room. The cold-toned environment composed of dark marble-textured walls and floors, along with a black professional gaming chair and black monitors, forms a strong sense of contrast with the subject's simple, bright outfit. This contrast makes the character stand out more in the frame. In terms of lighting, we mainly borrowed soft ambient light, which scatters naturally to form soft light-to-dark transitions on the figure, avoiding overexposure caused by harsh light, and perfectly bringing out the texture of the white socks in particular.

For the first photo, I chose to stand up for a selfie, lifting the hem of the top with one hand; this angle allows a clear view of the upper half's silhouette while drawing attention to the waist and abdomen. The following two photos show me sitting naturally on the gaming chair, a pose that perfectly fits a "daily life" state. Stretching out the legs slightly beautifully elongates the lower body's visual proportions. White over-the-knee socks inherently shape the leg contours strongly, and paired with this sitting posture, they showcase a lazy and captivating visual center of gravity.

When portraying the character of Kasugano Sora, I tried my best to grasp her quiet, frail traits, which also carry a touch of slight dependency in front of close ones. Therefore, in expression management, the makeup was kept as clean and translucent as possible, with a slight reddish blending around the eyes to better fit the character's spirit. Overall, I didn't use overly theatrical movements, keeping every gesture as natural as possible to recreate that authentic casual cosplay atmosphere of "staying cooped up in the room."

As for props, the phone case with an anime pattern I held also enriched the details of the frame. In managing the long hair, the height of the twin tails needed to be fixed just above the back of the ears. Additionally, the elasticity of the white stockings severely tests comfort; leaving appropriate contraction space at the thighs prevents slipping while keeping it natural, avoiding too many stiff folds at the joints. The overall compatibility of costume, makeup, and props was the core consideration of this work.

Shooting this set of photos was actually quite relaxed because the comfort level of the entire outfit was very high. Without needing overly complex lighting or scene arrangements, as long as the equipment is ready, relying on the model's own physical expression and understanding of the character's personality can yield a highly completed work. The charm of cosplay lies in concretizing a fictional character's personality through specific outfits and scenes.

The camera positions chosen for shooting these photos were also very deliberate. When standing, a slightly high-angle shot can naturally highlight the facial and body proportions; while for the sitting pose, a level or slightly low-angle perspective was adopted to prolong the viewer's gaze on the white socks section, making the leg lines look more slender. The reflection effect of the marble floor was also just right, forming clear reflections of the figure and adding a layer of spatial depth to the frame.

Sometimes, when recreating a 2D character in real life, the biggest difficulty lies not in the costume, but in the temperament. Through the draped light-colored long hair combined with this loungewear outfit style sportswear, one can very clearly capture that character's state in a non-specific plotline. To express this sense of atmosphere, I didn't intentionally strike very hardcore poses; instead, this casual, down-to-earth "gamer desk setup" background blends much better with the character's natural state.

This attempt at a fresh and casual style not only challenged the details of the costume, makeup, and props, but also gave me a deeper understanding of how to showcase a character's sense of life within everyday scenes. Without needing a complex studio shoot, as long as there is appropriate lighting and perception of the character's personality, it can still present an excellent visual effect.
