Inspiration for this shoot stemmed from the gap-moe contrast between the character's blue-and-white sailor uniform and her tactical gear. The location was set in a community park, utilizing ubiquitous trash cans as the core interactive props. The wig features dark blue-purple long straight hair with bangs resting right above the brow line, which, paired with red contacts, conveys a calm yet dorky cute look. The top is a blue-and-white sailor shirt with fine pinstripes on the collar, carrying a strong everyday vibe, yet meant to be layered with a tactical vest. The white pantyhose on the lower half form a core element of the look in this White stockings cosplay styling. To keep them clean, extra care was paid to the ground during shooting; knee pads with black modular plating were worn over the knees to add an armed tactical feel.

For weaponry, I prepared a tactical rifle wrapped extensively in white bandages with a black stock, giving it the appearance of a custom-modified prop. Besides mounting a large pair of binoculars across the chest, several small tags and red devices were strapped on; stacking these details vividly brought out the character's operative intelligence-agent identity. The rabbit-ear headpiece on top is crafted from stitched velvet material, exquisitely made and framing the bangs to fit the character seamlessly. Post-production dizzying halo rings and sweat drop symbols added overhead transformed a slightly stern character image, instantly infusing comic relief—this exact gap-moe charm was the core essence we aimed to recreate.

Rather than constructing elaborate grand sets, this set utilized everyday public amenities to capture that endearing sense of being clumsy yet hilarious while on a mission. To break conventional norms, we designed several poses with trash cans as the visual focal point: crawling inside a trash can with only the upper body exposed, taking prone aim behind a tipped-over trash can as cover, and sitting relaxed on the trash can rim with legs raised high. Combining these poses with white stockings and sneakers highlighted the cute side of this Tactical girl, blending casual daily life with combat aesthetics. Controlling expressions and postures was the trickiest part during the shoot. Trash cans have many awkward blind spots, so whether sitting inside or lying prone, adjusting center of gravity was essential to look natural. For instance, the shot sitting on the trash rim while kicking legs relied entirely on core abdominal strength—my core felt thoroughly worked out after finishing.

Stockings snag easily or gather dust during Outdoor photography, so we tested positions on props repeatedly beforehand, avoiding sharp edges and fallen leaves. The diffused soft sunlight that day suited this primary blue-and-white color palette wonderfully. Rather than overemphasizing harsh light-shadow contrasts, I focused attention on controlling color saturation and white balance. Skin tones were brightened in post-processing to enhance the vibrant clarity of the overall image. During shooting, little birds even flew over to watch, adding a lively, authentic touch to this location shoot. Overall, this approach of creating captivating photos using everyday public props without massive set builds is highly worth trying. Through this set, I hope to convey the unique atmosphere of the character—fully gear-equipped yet charmingly clumsy.
