[Kasugano Sora Cosplay] Yosuga no Sora, White Dress and Blue Rabbit Mirror Recreation - Image 2

This Kasugano Sora cosplay look was tested today with two mirror selfies to check the overall effect. The long white ruffled dress is the core of this styling. Once on, you can clearly feel the drape of the fabric itself; the hem has plenty of volume, and the loose fit ensures that daily movement isn't restricted. The large bow at the neckline adds a touch of delicacy, and the row of pearl-textured buttons on the front is just right—these are the details that must be faithful to the original anime cosplay setting. Because I was wearing a pure white outfit, I was extra careful during shooting and organizing, fearing that I might brush against a wall corner and dirty the fabric. Fortunately, the material this time is quite solid and not the type that wrinkles easily.

The length of this light blonde long straight wig is quite dramatic, falling almost below the waist. Such long wigs require very gentle combing in daily maintenance, otherwise, they tangle easily. To increase the natural thickness of the hair, I specifically did some layering inside, so the top wouldn't look flat. The white vertical hair accessories on both sides are my personal favorite part; although it took some time to adjust them for symmetry, wearing them immediately brings a sense of etherealness. I chose a long straight style this time, and paired with such a large bow hair accessory, the head-to-shoulder ratio looks more coordinated.

Regarding the choice of props, the blue-grey long-eared rabbit plush I'm holding in image 1 has a fuzzy texture and cool tone that harmonize perfectly with this white dress, serving as an excellent accent. The rabbit's size is also just right—not so big that it obstructs body lines, nor so small that it lacks presence. Although not small, holding it doesn't feel like a heavy burden, and it gives my arms a natural placement during mirror selfies.

As for the shoes and socks, I chose the classic black glossy Mary Janes with white short socks. This black-and-white color scheme is both simple and clean. Seen from the mirror, the contrast between the black shoe surface and white socks is sharp, allowing the visual focus of the entire white outfit styling to rest steadily on the ground, preventing the large area of white from looking top-heavy. The patent leather reflection effect is quite obvious under indoor lighting, ensuring the feet aren't completely ignored by the large long skirt.

In the two shots, image 1, holding the plushie with both hands, helps create a relatively relaxed and natural atmosphere, while image 2 involves gently lifting both sides of the skirt hem. The reason for the pose in image 2 is that such a fluffy skirt hem can sometimes look like a tabletop if not deliberately organized; lifting it up better showcases the pleating details of the skirt, while also clearly displaying its original pattern and drape. This kind of mirror selfie really tests the angle; the phone must be held level to avoid distorting the whole person, especially with long garments like this—a slight tilt can lead to very strange proportions. The pose of holding the rabbit in image 1 was decided after much exploration, as it had to allow the plushie to be fully in the frame without blocking the ruffled ties and pearl buttons on the chest. The skirt-lifting action in image 2 required keeping the arms at just the right height so the skirt could present radial pleats. I specifically adjusted my standing position in front of the mirror to keep the white skirt hem roughly in the center of the frame, using negative space to highlight the silhouette of the dress and avoid cluttering the photo.

Overall, this combination fits this Yosuga no Sora setting well; there aren't too many flamboyant decorations, and the comfort level is acceptable. The wig is secured quite firmly, with no slippage during the selfie process, and the large, voluminous skirt maintains its shape well under indoor lighting. Pure white clothing is prone to overexposure in the lens, so choosing to shoot during the day when natural light is softer ensures the white details of the garment aren't lost. I quite like this way of completing an expression through a unified color scheme and detailed props under limited conditions, and judging from the final result, it achieved the expected effect. As a process of daily practice and record-keeping, the overall wearing experience of this styling is quite smooth, without too many cumbersome steps. It was a good attempt today.
