This shoot of Hifumi's swimsuit look from Blue Archive took place at an outdoor pool surrounded by lush tropical plants. The day of the shoot brought radiant, brilliant sunlight and warm temperatures that perfectly suited the summer theme. The attire is a two-piece white swimsuit accented with delicate ruffles, detailed across the neckline and waistline with slender black ribbons and bowknots. Paired with a tailored pale-gold short wig and fluffy white Animal ears, the overall visual fidelity was something I was thoroughly pleased with. To channel the character's cheerful and spirited innocence, the makeup featured red contact lenses alongside a warm peachy-orange blush, with layered eye makeup adding soft depth.

The blue-and-white mosaic tiling along the pool edge refracted stunning specular ripples under the sunlight, serving as a pristine backdrop. Throughout the session, I explored varied stances—such as perching on the pool's rim dangling feet above the water line, or stepping directly into the pool to interact casually with the lens. Broad banana palm leaves formed organic framing elements, heightening chromatic contrast between vibrant greens and cool blues to make the visual field feel refreshingly breezy. Sitting along the poolside rim required steady core stability for balance: wet tiles can be surprisingly slick, and keeping the legs suspended in clean, graceful lines demanded tangible muscular endurance. Yet dipping bare feet into the cool water provided instant, delightful relief from the summer heat.

In terms of styling nuances, beyond the swimwear's built-in ruffles, I layered a delicate pale beaded bracelet—subtle accents like this enrich visual density before the lens. Because this was an open-air natural light session, we adjusted our shooting schedule around the overhead midday sun to avoid harsh facial shadows, utilizing dappled shadows filtering through palm fronds to soften the illumination. Wig maintenance demanded steady vigilance: the front bangs were prone to separating from perspiration or occasional breezes, requiring constant combing and resets between takes.
