[Hikawa Kyoka cosplay] Princess Connect! Summer Magical Girl Swimsuit cosplay Photoshoot

A great deal of thought and preparation went into both the pre-shoot planning and post-processing for this Princess Connect! Hikawa Kyoka Swimsuit cosplay. The outfit features an off-the-shoulder ruffled design in pink and white, accented with a large blue bow and yellow star on the chest. Paired with long purple curly hair, pointed elf ears, and a straw hat adorned with sunflowers and other blossoms, the overall visual is exceptionally vivid. The shoot was conducted mainly by the seaside, utilizing the translucent clarity of natural light to build a vibrant Summer atmosphere.

For props, we prepared a character-faithful magic wand decorated with a purple orb and flowers, alongside a vintage camera and a yellow duck swim ring. Posing while sitting on the swim ring to look up through the camera lens, or waving the magic wand across the sandy beach, brought out the design of the costume wonderfully. The photo selection focused on showcasing the waistline curves and leg strap details—for example, the slight high-angle composition in Photo 3 naturally elongates the leg lines while keeping the subject centered and uncrowded.

In post-processing, to emphasize the 2D magical aesthetic, we incorporated elements like semi-translucent blue-and-pink butterflies, water ripples, bubbles, and shimmering stardust. When adjusting skin texture and lighting, I aimed for a clear, radiant complexion faithful to the character, unifying the overall palette into a soft harmony of pink, purple, and blue. The purple hair and blue-and-pink outfit looked stunning on the beach; stepping onto the soft sand while sunlight danced across the ruffles gave the details a rich texture. During outdoor shoots, taking care of wig styling, applying sunscreen, and ensuring the elf ears blend naturally into the skin are essential. This outfit is quite demanding on body proportions—especially the waist tailoring and strappy details—requiring careful angle adjustments to present properly. Every composition and pose drew inspiration from the character's traits, blending with the real outdoor setting to deliver a lively, refreshing sweet girl style.
