Varesa in Genshin Impact carries a slightly airheaded combat attribute, but today I just want to chat about these freeze-frame moments captured on February 13. The joke about "2B Day" (Feb 13)—only we probably understand that subtle joy. The 14th is Valentine's Day for others, while the 13th is a day of self-fulfillment for silly luck, which happens to be the exclusive release date for this photo set.

In a previous post, I poked fun at myself for not having a svelte figure, but "weight fidelity" wasn't self-deprecation; it was the actual weight burden I felt after putting on the entire gear and strapping on that huge, heavy pair of horns. Having done cosplay for so many years, the sentence I understand best is that "fidelity" isn't just visual, but also physical precision. A lot of thought went into costume details: the white horns with black tips on my head and fluffy beast ears have a strong visual impact, while the beige-and-black color-blocked cropped top with a thick ring of white faux fur around the collar maximizes the character's playful charm. The heart-shaped metal clasp on the chest and the teal bow tie are among the most exquisite parts of the whole outfit; from tailoring to final assembly, the master tailor captured the curves and angles with remarkable precision.

The black pleated skirt on the lower half has a sharp cut, which, paired with the wide pink belt and gold buckle, not only visually elongates proportions but also echoes the overall color palette. I especially love these knee-high white socks; the green stripes at the top and red-and-blue small cross patterns are meticulously detailed. The black platform leather shoes inherently carry a 2D chunky feel, which, along with knee pads on the knees, harmoniously blends techwear utility with a girlish aesthetic.

When shooting this photo set, the styling design chose a mid-air jump pose; kicking one leg forward while stretching both arms actually heavily tested core strength. The photographer said he wanted that explosive feeling of gathering electrical energy, ready to unleash an elemental burst in the next second. Because my center of gravity was unstable, I had to do many retakes. Post-processing then added pink-and-white lightning special effects sweeping across my entire body along with floating geometric blocks, making that crackling electric atmosphere even more prominent. The overlay of pink and purple painted backgrounds also made the outfit's color scheme look gentler and more dreamlike.

Many people might ask what is so special about February 13. Honestly, there is no grand or unforgettable story; I simply feel that simple minds bring simple joys, and on that day, one can justify doing whatever one loves. I didn't want a clichéd Valentine's Day; instead, wearing my favorite costume on this day, swinging my Pink braids in the studio, and fully stretching out my poses in front of the lens felt like a wonderful treat for myself.

I really love the color grading of this entire set; the pink-purple dreamlike atmosphere fits right in with my casual, uninhibited personality. Although I joke about not having a slender figure, I feel a character's soul doesn't strictly depend on slimness to shine through—within that authenticity of weight reproduction lies another cute kind of tension. The plush balls and classical pillars in the background enrich scene layering and make movements feel more vibrant. Next February 13, I might pull out another set of gear to mess around with; after all, this exclusive happiness needs no definition from others in Cosplay photography.
