On July 17, 2026, the first day of the Firefly ACG Expo in Guangzhou, I completed all the preparations for my Cinnamoroll cosplay in advance. Choosing to cosplay this character was a very quick decision for me because Cinnamoroll's cute, fluffy, white aesthetic has always been a favorite of mine. Wearing such a refreshing light blue outfit in the scorching summer heat not only creates a visually cooling effect but also keeps me feeling relatively light and comfortable at the convention.

The design of this Cinnamoroll cosplay outfit is full of thoughtful details. The wig was chosen in a lightweight silver-white tone with see-through bangs and side braids that frame the face nicely. The ear accessories and bows on top were hand-bound and decorated with pearl chains, giving the hair structure more texture and depth without looking monochrome or plain. The main dress is a light blue fluffy ballgown; its layered tulle skirt has a satisfying weight while remaining flowy when moving around. Lace trimmings on the chest and shoulder straps, combined with a white inner lining, maintain the character's pure and sweet charm while incorporating Lolita fashion elements to match Cinnamoroll's soft and fluffy vibe.

I also specially prepared an oversized blue magic wand prop. Although holding the wand for long shoots was quite heavy, it was definitely an invaluable prop for enhancing the overall atmosphere of the photos. In the perspective composition of Photo 3, holding the wand with both hands really exudes a dreamy vibe from within. Since the character's setting is inherently cute, I tried to keep my facial expressions soft, gentle, slightly cool, yet sweet, avoiding overly dramatic expressions.

Special thanks to photographer NightDiva, who captured these moments using Nikon equipment. Shooting such clean and beautiful photos in a crowded convention environment is truly rare. We found a well-lit area on the plaza, leveraging side-backlight combined with reflectors to make my skin tone look translucent and highlighting the blue contact lenses in my eyes. We also put thought into composition—for instance, using a wide-angle lens in the first photo for perspective stretch, extending my hand toward the camera to create an interactive feel that breaks the fourth wall. This first-person perspective composition usually delivers great visual impact on social media.

The atmosphere at Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo was vibrant as always. There were countless cosplayers wearing all sorts of gorgeous outfits. Although July is quite hot, the dress was fairly breathable; however, wearing the fluffy Cinnamoroll headpiece still made me sweat. Luckily, everyone at the venue was super enthusiastic. I occasionally ran into fellow Sanrio fans who came over to exchange photos, snap happy pictures together, or discuss wig styling and makeup techniques—which is always one of the most enjoyable parts of attending a convention. Though the pavement outside looked neat, we frequently had to dodge passing pedestrians and equipment carts while snatching quick shots, which really tested the photographer's capturing skills.

There were a few minor hiccups during the shoot, such as the wig being blown messy by the wind or the sequined details on the magic wand reflecting too much harsh sunlight, requiring slight adjustments in lighting. Fortunately, NightDiva was very professional and kept finding great angles to capture shots. Although it took a lot of communication beforehand, I was thrilled when I received the finished photos—they captured both the texture of the costume and the original sweet demeanor of the character.

It was a deeply fulfilling cosplay experience overall. From waking up early for makeup and wig fitting to finding shooting spots at the venue and coordinating with the photographer, every single step required utmost dedication. Under the sunlight, this outfit looked exceptionally cool and dreamy, and combined with my expression, I feel I faithfully reproduced the cute character in my heart. This day at Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo was truly memorable, and I hope these photos convey my love for this character and cosplay itself.
