The Convention photos of Cifera Cosplay from the Worldline Anime Convention are finally out! First off, huge kudos to photographer Brother Muyou—the final image quality is genuinely top-tier.
Let's talk about the wearing experience of this costume first. The black-and-gold leather suit boasts incredible texture, giving off a subtle, delicate sheen under natural light. However, that also means it fits like a glove with limited breathability. The most strenuous parts while suiting up were the upper-body straps and shoulder armor; plenty of internal anchors were needed to maintain a crisp, dimensional silhouette. The Cat ears hood is truly the soul of the entire look. To keep it perching stably atop my head without collapsing, I not only pinned numerous invisible bobby pins, but also spent ages adjusting the wig's thickness. On the lower half, the golden leg guards and ankle boots over the Stockings carried substantial weight; combined with the fluffy purple tail swishing behind me, walking around the convention floor all day was a massive test of stamina.
To capture Cifera's feline characteristics, we specifically designed several dynamic poses for this shoot. For example, in the shot on the lawn, I performed a crawling and stalking posture close to the ground. Moving across the grass in heavy Stockings and leggings made finding support points for my knees and palms quite tricky—not only did I have to maintain balance, but I also had to prevent wardrobe slips. Photographer Muyou was exceptionally skilled at freezing these moments, guiding me to adjust the arch of my back and waist so the side silhouette was accentuated cleanly. There was quite a crowd watching nearby at the time, which felt a bit awkward, but once I locked into character and focused on engaging the right muscles, external noise faded away.
The shoot took place on the plaza and lawn outside the Worldline Convention, where natural daylight brought out the full tactile brilliance of the leather and metallic accents. This Amphoreus costume from Honkai: Star Rail is packed with intricate details—from the eye pendant on the chest to the sharp claws on the gloves, everything required constant checks to ensure nothing shifted out of place. I am thrilled with the final Convention photos overall, especially the full-body standing shots that cleanly captured both the cutout patterns on the leg guards and the sleek curves of my body. Even though my whole body ached afterward, the moment I saw the finalized photos, every drop of effort felt completely worthwhile for this Cifera Cosplay.
