[Seed cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Seed checking in at BW 2026, a rookie expanding their horizons at the convention

Attending BW 2026 as Seed for the first time, as a rookie coser, today's experience can truly be described as shocking. Previously, I only watched everyone post various convention updates online; stepping into this huge venue today made me truly realize how big the convention actually is. I practically power-walked from opening to closing. Although the soles of my feet hurt from walking, my spirits were extremely excited.

This time I'm cosplaying Seed from Zenless Zone Zero. A lot of effort went into the preliminary preparations for this outfit. The white halter-neck bodysuit has high demands on body shape, so to ensure a good on-screen effect, I did a lot of posture management beforehand. The detail design on the clothing is very technological; the yellow drawstrings on the chest, metal buckles, and slit design at the thighs all require patient wearing and fixing, and I had to check if the cables were loose with even a little movement. The wig styling was also done a long time in advance, and the light blue color is very eye-catching. To fix the hair accessories on top of the head, I used a lot of hairspray and clips. In terms of makeup, I wore bright blue contact lenses, and to make the eye makeup fit the character better, I repeatedly modified the blending range of the eyeliner and eyeshadow. Since this is my first time cosplaying such a sci-fi techwear style character, from the gloves to the arm guards, every accessory was worn and arranged by myself, and this process itself was quite ceremonial.

The venue was extremely lively. I saw many of my favorite IPs and met many amazing coser teachers. As a rookie, standing in front of the lens at first made me really clueless—my hands didn't know where to pose, and my expression was very stiff. Fortunately, I met a very professional photographer teacher who patiently guided my actions and taught me how to showcase the character's temperament. Seed has a calm and confident trait; to get closer to her, I constantly adjusted my standing posture and gaze, gradually changing from initial stiffness to naturalness. Today, strolling through the venue and taking photos, I felt a very strong two-dimensional atmosphere. Everyone gathered together because of common hobbies; even though we didn't know each other, chatting about favorite works allowed us to instantly hit it off. This atmosphere is particularly infectious.

This convention made me realize that cosplay is not just about putting on clothes and taking photos, but also an understanding of the character and self-expression. Although I was very tired today and the clothes felt a bit tight and uncomfortable, being able to enjoy anime culture with everyone in this big environment is truly a very happy thing. Huge thanks to the photographer teacher who worked hard on the convention photos today—the final results are unexpectedly good, and thanks also to the friends who helped me manage logistics. This BW 2026 journey has broadened my horizons, allowing me to see many excellent works and learn a lot of on-site experience. This can be considered a very good starting point for my cosplay career. I will continue to work hard in the future to bring more works that satisfy myself.
