[Blanc Cosplay] Black & Gold Battle Outfit and Red-Bottom Heels: Lucky Blessing Live at the Convention

Wearing this modified Japanese-style outfit in Blanc's black and gold color scheme for convention photos on-site, the overall preparation actually began quite early. The silver-white wig with blunt bangs, paired with dark-textured horns on top and this instantly recognizable costume, caught the attention of many photographers as soon as I arrived.

For this shoot, we used a Sony a7c2 paired with a 35mm f/1.4 GM lens. In the high-ceilinged steel frame structure of this indoor exhibition hall, a 35mm focal length is exceptionally well-suited for capturing a character's presence. It avoids the exaggerated edge distortion of wider angles while incorporating the expansive sense of space and the glossy reflective floor into the frame. The wide aperture easily softens passing crowds and cluttered background props in a noisy convention hall, fully focusing visual attention on the character's complete look.

The costume design is remarkably detailed. The black base features large areas of gold foil printing with intricate, delicate patterns that glisten with a high-end texture under the overhead spotlights. The white fluff trimming around the collar breaks up the heavy black and gold palette while making the neckline look clean and crisp. The bright yellow obi-style waist belt cinches just right, and paired with black shorts, visually elongates body proportions while neatly highlighting lower body lines.

The flat black card prop in my hand is a signature accessory from her character setting. To express both the flowy elegance and cool aura of the outfit while posing, I tried two distinct postures. For the standing shot, I deliberately flared out the wide sleeves on both sides with a slight tilt of the body, allowing the costume's outline to fully stretch across the frame. For the sitting shot, we found a white plush mat on set, whose soft texture offered a nice contrast against the crisp structure of the outfit.

I really adore the mood in that seated shot: leaning back slightly with legs gracefully crossed, the visual focus naturally transitions to the lower outfit. The black tights shimmer subtly under the overhead lights, paired with black patent leather stilettos—especially that striking flash of a red sole, which looks incredibly eye-catching against the polished floor, creating a demeanor that is both elegant yet relaxed and confident. Compared to standing, sitting displays long leg proportions much better, and the gold decorative waist cord stayed perfectly aligned without bunching or loosening, proving the costume's excellent tailoring.

Given the dense crowds at the convention, finding a relatively quiet, clean area to complete a set of neatly composed convention photos with the photographer was no small feat. The photographer's camera work was highly professional, utilizing the ceiling spotlights as the main light source to restore the true fabric texture and metallic sheen while rendering the layered dimension of the wig. During post-processing, we mainly preserved the original cool tone and fine-tuned contrast so that the core colors—black, white, and gold—looked refined and cohesive.

Even with people constantly passing by in the convention corridors, immersing oneself in this character felt truly unique. Everyone respecting each other while enjoying what they love is what makes conventions so special. The black-and-gold armor, the black card, and those red-bottom heels in these photos together built the unique charm of this Goddess of Victory character. I hope this photo set lets everyone feel the calm and dashing temperament of her design—it serves as my dedicated homage to the work and the character itself.
