Taking advantage of the peak flower season, I brought a hair and makeup look I'm highly satisfied with lately to this flower field in the suburbs for a flower field outdoor shoot. The light blue Japanese-style clothing plus the short black wig, cooperating with the overall cool tone, punches out a powerful visual tension amidst the bright yellow flower clusters. The scene has a slope, and with a simple fence made of hemp ropes and wooden stakes, it naturally separates the dirt path from the blooming flower field, providing an excellent sense of spatial layering. I chose to sit on the yellow earth at the edge of the dirt slope, tidying up my wide hemline along the way. If you look closely, the fabric has subtle luster changes under the sun. Paired with the built-in black wrist guards and a small jar prop, my hands could naturally be placed in front of my body. This composition perfectly balances the proportion between the person and the flower field, looking neither too empty nor making the background too cluttered.

Regarding the shoot and post-processing, I was personally responsible for both the modeling and the retouching this time. Huge thanks to Lao Ya for helping press the shutter; he deeply understands the sense of light and shadow I desire, capturing a few moments where top light filtered through the flower leaves under the intense midday sun, instantly maxing out the atmosphere. To shoot a better outcome, I also brought a diffuser board and coordinated the reflection angle with the photographer to ensure the light on my face was sufficiently translucent and soft.

Arriving at the post-processing stage, I heavily focused on grabbing the balance among three colors: yellow, green, and blue. The bright yellow flowers couldn't be adjusted to be too blinding; they had to maintain a moderate saturation. The green plants were darkened a tiny bit to serve as a backdrop, making the light blue clothing on the protagonist the first focus of vision. A touch of translucent brightness was left on the skin, and I also handled the layered edges of the hairstyle.

The knot details of the rope fence are also highly textured, forming several diagonal lines in the composition, adding some breaking design sense to the originally flat-spreading flower bushes. Sitting on the ground, the sandals on my feet are revealed in front of the flowers without over-powering the main subject. Shooting the entire set took roughly an entire afternoon from start to finish. Although my thighs felt a bit sore after crouching on the ground for a long time, seeing the instant the photos turned out in the camera made me feel this bit of hardship was completely worth it. The atmospheric tone of this cosplay photoshoot is actually slanted toward quietness, featuring no overly exaggerated movements, mainly wanting to express a casual pause of the character within nature.

For post-processing, I am used to color grading with my phone and will also handle detailed flaws, keeping a natural feel while letting the light, shadow, and colors fit closer to the authentic visual perception on-site. The cuffs and necklines of the costume easily catch wrinkles, so during post-processing, I had to smooth them out a bit to maintain visual tidiness. The overall color tone was treated thoroughly, allowing this pair of contrasting colors—yellow and blue—to blend beautifully into the natural environment. I am highly satisfied with the venue selection and light capture this time, and the look of the final photos is exactly that clean and translucent texture I wanted. From early conceptualization to the final product, every single step tried its best to recreate that serene visual in my heart, and the entire process was highly enjoyable under this Anime cosplay creation.
