Today's shoot was chosen in a space with a strong Japanese-style. To restore the unique serenity of Hakurei Shrine, we put a lot of effort into capturing light and shadow. The costume design of this Reimu set is very exquisite, especially the large hat and the layered folds, which present a particularly good sense of depth under the indoor lighting. The texture of these details is a very important part of the shoot and must be accurately captured in the lens. In front of the camera, I tend to express a kind of introverted gentleness, like finding a piece of peace occasionally in the complicated Gensokyo. Unlike common battle scenes, this time I wanted to express a mood of "peace" through the lens. Every movement, from the grip of the hand to the tilt of the sitting posture, was intended to blend into the surrounding screens, washi paper, and courtyard atmosphere. During the shoot, we repeatedly adjusted the angle of the seat, striving to let the hem of the dress fall naturally on the wooden floor, creating a staggered sense of flow. This collision between Anime cosplay characters and real space is exactly what makes cosplay so charming. I hope you can feel the tranquil aesthetics of Touhou Project from this set of photos, as if you can touch that peaceful land in reality.
