[Furina cosplay] Hydro Archon Furina's Liyue Travel & Subway Routine

Today's outfit is a self-styled fan-art look inspired by Furina's New Year greeting illustration, which unexpectedly brought a fun interaction while taking the subway.

A subway staff member saying, "Hello Hydro Archon, please put your bag through security check," gave me an instant cross-dimensional identity dislocation. As the former supreme leader of Fontaine taking a leisure break to travel in Liyue, despite having the majesty of the "Hydro Archon," I still had to dutifully place my backpack onto the X-ray scanner before realistic subway rules. This fourth-wall-breaking slice-of-life feeling is precisely where the joy of integrating roleplay into real life lies.

This entire ensemble was hand-assembled by myself. The main piece is a blue beret with a fluffy pom-pom on top, accented on the side with blue gems and a black velvet bow. The wig is styled in soft white curls fading into blue at the ends, offering rich layering. To recreate that slightly aloof, cool aura of the character, I specifically wore light blue contact lenses, paired with clean eye makeup and coral lipstick, hoping to strike a balance between real life and 2D. The blue-gray scarf with white polka dots served as the finishing touch, keeping me warm while breaking up the monotony of the solid-colored coat.

Taking photos in a complex lighting environment like the subway actually places high demands on wig grooming and makeup precision. The mirror selfie in photo one nicely captures the overall outfit proportions, especially the layered look of the coat, short skirt, and over-the-knee socks, accurately conveying a style that is casual yet highlighted with charm. Furthermore, choosing a realistic setting like a subway train car enhances the "slice-of-life" feeling, a technique frequently used in Cosplay photography and Anime convention sharing.

Speaking of Furina, her transformation from theatrical performance to chasing her true self is genuinely relatable. As a cosplayer, I feel it's not just about producing pretty photos, but making the character "come alive" in appropriate settings. Whether looking down at my phone in a bustling subway or chatting briefly with passersby who recognize the character, these are all unique life experiences brought by these Cosplay outfits.

When my friend snapped photos for me using a phone on the subway, I maintained my seating posture, making sure the wig and scarf sat naturally. The shutter click mixed with the background noise of subway announcements made us enjoy the moment thoroughly. After all, even the former Hydro Archon of Fontaine needs to enjoy life and appreciate the scenery in Liyue; though unable to escape security checks, it serves as proof of integrating into the mortal world. The texture of the blue beret and the sleek fit of the over-the-knee socks—though a cosplay look—comfort remains crucial for extended trips.
