Regarding this set of Genshin Impact Keqing Studio cosplay photos, getting straight to the point, this is one of my most satisfying image collections recently. Because previous images were misused without authorization, I specifically asked the photographer during pre-shoot communication to reserve space for watermarks to facilitate post-processing.
A pure white background was chosen for the shoot; such a clean environment allows the visual focus to concentrate on the person, better highlighting the colors and textures of the outfit. Genshin Impact Keqing's costume is inherently recognizable—the primary purple tone paired with the white inner layer, plus deep purple over-the-elbow gloves, showed excellent texture under studio lighting. For the complete look, I intentionally styled it with Black stockings and black patent leather high heels; the black-and-purple palette visually elongated the leg lines. In terms of camera angles for Keqing, classic standing and seated poses with a cool, poised demeanor were referenced.
During shooting, to find the angles that best elongated the legs, different poses were tested, such as crossing legs seated on a circular platform, raising both hands to play with plush props, and the dynamic instant of standing on one leg while lifting the foot to take off a shoe. The shoe-removal pose demanded significant balance: not only did the foot movement need to look natural, but the height of the lifted leg had to be carefully controlled, otherwise the slit angle of the skirt and the overall silhouette would warp; it took multiple takes to capture the most stable angle. Furthermore, to let the skirt hem drape naturally, it was adjusted repeatedly. Although quite tedious, the final results in both contrast and proportions were satisfying, proving that quality Studio cosplay photos require patient refinement. The side-seated pose resting the chin in hand was also subtly aloof, matching Keqing's personality.
In terms of hair and makeup, securing the hairstyle and hairpieces took considerable time. To ensure the twin-tails and cat-ear styled wig appeared full on the head, numerous bobby pins and hairsprays were utilized. The eye makeup was adjusted multiple times: because pure white backdrops easily wash out makeup, being too light looks lifeless while being too heavy looks messy; ultimately, a translucent pink-purple eyeshadow paired with red lips achieved the crisp, clean visual effect in this set.
Additionally, I experimented with tension techniques in high heels this time. Since patent leather reflects light easily, pointing the instep was necessary to capture the 3D shape of the shoes—a subtle detail that determines whether the overall picture looks natural.
Regarding the anti-theft watermarks, it was a measure forced by recent circumstances. Although aware that watermarks affect the overall viewing aesthetic and browsing experience, recent image theft has been genuinely severe—even surfacing in articles without crediting the source. Repeated requests for removal or attribution went ignored, with some parties even blocking me directly. It gets exhausting over time, leaving overlay watermarks as the only viable choice to protect original rights.
Currently, semi-transparent watermarks that avoid completely obscuring the subject are used, striving to strike a balance between anti-theft and viewing quality. While watermarks undeniably compromise some original visual integrity, protecting the works remains paramount upon reflection. Special thanks to photographer 'Xiao Zhou Cong Ci Shi' for the shoot—from lighting and prop placement to pose guidance, everything was exceptionally professional, capturing many wonderful moments. This shoot also gave me clearer ideas for future recreations, such as fine-tuning lights to accentuate the texture of Black stockings. I will likely be even more meticulous with editing going forward to ensure every piece of effort is reasonably protected.
