[Sandrone Cosplay] From Styling to Makeup, Capturing the Delicate Texture of the Genshin Impact Character

Getting straight to the point, today I'm primarily sharing this set of Genshin Impact Sandrone Cosplay notes and my styling experience with this look. From preparation to the final photos, the main effort was spent on makeup details and structural adjustments to some accessories.

Starting with the wig, when selecting the color, I specifically compared it against the character's color presentation in the game, ultimately choosing a light brownish milk-tea shade. This tone looks very soft under natural daily light. When trimming the wig, the ratio of the bangs was crucial. To complement the visual impact of the bright blue contact lenses, the bangs on the forehead were cut slightly shorter so that the gaze could show through fully. The sideburns were also layered to frame the face shape, while seamlessly connecting to the black bows on both sides of the headband when wearing the headpiece.

The visual focus of this outfit is actually concentrated on the neck ornamentation. The wide black choker paired with the large red teardrop-shaped gemstone right in the center is extremely eye-catching. When wearing it, I adjusted the tightness of the choker, hoping to establish a comfortable anchor on the neck while allowing the golden-trimmed outline to convey a premium texture. The bright red puff sleeves on both sides are actually hard to keep plump in real life, so I used hard mesh internally for support to prevent sagging or extra wrinkles. The off-the-shoulder design of the top combines white multi-layered pleated fabric with red satin bows; this red-white-black color combination, embellished with gold lines, creates intense visual tension.

The shooting angle was a high-angle selfie held by myself using my own device. I really like this first-person perspective composition; compared to eye-level angles or front-lit studio shots, this high-angle view more easily brings out the character's slightly condescending and exquisite feel. I also made some adjustments in makeup—aside from the bright blue contact lenses, the eye makeup emphasized elongated eyeliner and dense upper and lower eyelashes, so that even with bangs covering slightly, the gaze still conveys sharpness and focus. For lip makeup, I chose a pearlescent peach pink to add a touch of hydration, neutralizing the heaviness the overall styling might otherwise carry. For the base makeup, I specifically opted for a pale matte finish to reduce real skin texture and get closer to the delicate, smooth texture of a doll or anime character, which is a consistent makeup philosophy I maintain during Cosplay photography and styling.

Regarding the location choice, I opted for an indoor environment with classic carved wooden furniture. The wooden floor and gold-trimmed sofa background complemented the outfit style perfectly. For ambient lighting, I used warmer, orange-leaning tones rather than pursuing bright white-backdrop studio lighting, because warm light adds narrative depth and dimension to the scene, making the textures of the ruby and red satin pop. In post-processing, I refrained from overly exaggerated facial liquefaction, focusing mainly on balancing skin tone and lighting contrast while preserving the natural wrinkle texture of the fabrics. As a coser who frequently tries various character styles, Sandrone's blend of subtle cold arrogance and gorgeous coloration leaves much to explore during styling. From adjusting detailed accessories and wig styling to controlling facial expressions, every step reflects in the final photo results. The eye makeup took a lot of time to ensure symmetry between both eyes and the precise scope of eyeshadow, ultimately achieving a great fidelity effect. Though the styling process involved many steps, seeing the final image results made all the prep time feel well worth it. That wraps up this makeup and styling record.
