I finally got the convention photos from this Changsha Qingkong Academy Season, special thanks to photographer Pulao411 for the on-site snapshots. Hitting the streets in this My Melody collaboration outfit as Daji, I was literally charmed by my own cuteness the whole time. The three-layered blue, pink, and white ruffled dress combined with this oversized gradient fluffy tail maximizes the visual impact, turning heads everywhere I walked in the convention hall.

Let's talk about the details of this look. The wig is a pink slightly curly style, paired with a cat-ear headband and blue ribbons. It has a lot of hair volume, which took more time to style than expected. The colored contacts are light blue, echoing the glossy sky blue of the outfit, making the overall tone very refreshing. The small red bag hanging on the side of the waist is the finishing touch; the little white face and blue embellishments on it just perfectly neutralize the large areas of pink and blue, preventing it from looking overly sweet.

The most troublesome part was that giant tail—it needed a black folding stool to support it on site to stand steadily, and when shooting dynamic poses, I relied entirely on the photographer's guidance for angles. The high single-leg lift pose in the photo was actually very hard to balance; although the white chunky-heeled platform shoes are stable, walking all day on this convention concrete floor made my legs really sore. However, for the final results, this hardship was totally worth it. I also prepared the handheld cupcake prop myself; holding it with a smile during photos made me feel full of energy.

The charm of a convention photo lies precisely in that authentic sense of being on-site. The occasional appearance of other cosplayers and photography equipment in the background actually gives the photos a richer narrative feel. This shoot was on a mutual benefit basis, but Pulao411's control of light and shadow was absolutely superb. The key light from the softbox was very gentle, making the skin tone look clean and bright without excessive skin smoothing, preserving the natural texture of the skin.

Regarding the three elements of portrait photography, I feel that besides a good-looking face, good lighting, and nice clothes, there is actually a fourth point—a relaxed mindset when appearing on camera. Everyone at the convention is very welcoming, so there's no need to be too nervous; just let the character's cuteness flow naturally. This outfit is not very convenient to move around in, as the ruffles on the sleeves and skirt hem easily get caught in the tail, but as long as you pay attention while moving, it's perfectly fine.

I selected a total of five convention photos this time. I tried various poses like lifting the skirt on one foot, holding the cake, and covering my chest, and ultimately felt that the dynamic one had the most vitality. The shooting site was crowded and chaotic; avoiding passersby while arranging the tail and props properly made upfront communication truly essential. I hope to continue trying more interesting collaboration skins in the future, bringing those vivid colors from the game into reality.
