[March 7th cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail headcanon DIY pink-themed outfit

March 7th's self-matched headcanon outfit actually came to me in a flash of inspiration while organizing my wardrobe. I originally just wanted to try a collision of pink and light blue, and I didn't expect the overall combination to fit her temperament so unexpectedly well. For the wig, I chose a fluffy pastel pink, slightly styled to look a bit messy, and clipped on a small white flower hairpin, which established the visual focus of the head. In terms of makeup, to match the pink hair, I deliberately chose blue contact lenses, lengthened the eye shape with eye makeup, adding a bit of innocent and lively feel, since she is a lively girl after all.

For the top, I picked a light blue knitted cardigan; the fabric is very thin, with ruffles at the cuffs, giving a light and flowing feeling when moving. The inner layer is a pink halter crop top, decorated with some cartoon patterns on the chest, which echoes the cartoon animal choker around the neck. The lower body pairing was a small challenge: I chose a miniskirt splicing denim with pink and white plaid. To add layering, there are lace and stripe decorations at the skirt hem, and the arc of the skirt looks great when walking. As for shoes, I matched white platform sneakers, and put on pink-and-blue gradient loose socks, which not only modified the leg shape, but also visually fit the overall sweet style better. The cross-body pink and white small bag and water gun camera props were also to make the frame richer.

This exterior shoot chose several different places. Shooting in front of the church during the day, the sunshine was exceptionally good, with the blue sky matching those intricate Gothic spires, and the light and shadow hitting the face made it very photogenic. The church's architectural lines were very tough, which instead set off this outfit to be more vibrant. The second spot was at the railway station platform; the steel-framed roof had a strong industrial feel. I stood by the railing holding the water gun camera, just as a train was pulling into the station, and captured a few shots, giving a sense of daily outing storytelling. By evening, I went to Heumarkt station; the red station sign and warm yellow lighting of the platform created another kind of atmosphere. At this time, taking full-body photos, the combination of loose socks and platform shoes was very eye-catching. Finally, on the street with the twin-tower cathedral in the background, walking on the cobblestone road with the wind blowing through the hair, the overall state presented was very relaxed.

Because it's not the official classic costume, but a headcanon extended based on the character's personality, there is a lot of freedom in styling. The entire shooting process actually tested physical strength quite a bit, walking back and forth in stations and streets wearing platform shoes while carrying props, but after seeing the finished photos, I felt it was all worth it. This experience of trying different styles also gave me more ideas for future creations.
