[Erii Uesugi cosplay] The Gentlest Promise in Dragon Raja

For this Erii Uesugi cosplay shoot, I specifically chose red hair and crimson eyes. The overall costume design features a white base with red trim, paired with black fingerless gloves, creating a striking color contrast. The ethereal temperament of the original work fits this look impeccably. During shooting, we selected diverse Japanese style settings including cherry blossom trees, a red umbrella, and a late-night interior to convey her innate quiet and subtly melancholic aura.

Looking back according to those diary entries: On April 23rd, going out shopping and returning to the hotel, I saw myself in the mirror wearing this outfit—the long red hair was so eye-catching, completely changing my aura, and Sakura praised me, saying I looked great. On April 24th, we visited Tokyo Skytree; although crowded, looking down from the observation deck felt so expansive. On April 25th, we went to Disneyland; the haunted house was truly pitch-black and scary, but staying close behind Sakura made me feel so secure, as if no matter how dark it was around us, it didn't matter. On April 26th at Meiji Jingu Shrine, we happened upon a traditional wedding ceremony, and the ambiance was so sacred. On April 27th, it rained heavily so we couldn't go out; we stayed resting in the hotel and chatted with Sakura—he is truly so gentle. On April 28th, having a meal at the dining hall, I met his family; his uncle was very kind to me, serving me lots of dishes, but his aunt seemed unhappy with some of my actions, as if I had upset her a bit. On April 29th, we traveled to a far and beautiful place where the sea looked exceptionally gentle; Sakura told me so much about this world. I was extraordinarily happy that day, and giving him a hug at the end felt so warm. He said he would always be my best friend, and I think Sakura is the absolute best too—I want us to stay together like this forever.

Accompanying this shoot is this set of photos, featuring both close-up portraits and full-body shots. In particular, the one sitting beneath the cherry blossom tree shows wonderful texture through the interplay of light, shadow, and the skirt hem. Because this is an interpretation faithful to the original character, I trimmed the bangs again and styled the long back hair to be voluminous, achieving this silky and flowing visual texture. The entire photoshoot felt like reliving the story all over again—walking around together day after day, sharing meals, and enjoying the scenery, keeping everything deeply relaxed and joyful.
