This Genshin Impact Sangonomiya Kokomi cosplay shoot was specifically timed for the golden hour of a beach sunset. To capture Kokomi's signature ethereal lightness fused with ocean motifs, we poured immense effort into wardrobe preparation. The flowing skirt was constructed from generous yards of translucent sheer chiffon; to let it glow with an amber-gold luminescence under backlighting, we sampled and compared several fabric swatches. Paired with white Stockings pantyhose and black-and-white striped platform shoes, finding secure footholds atop slippery coastal reefs proved quite a challenge. Combining hairpieces with crimson braided knots and tassel pendants enriched the outfit's detail density.

The lighting contrast on shoot day was intense, meaning we had to seize the fleeting thirty-minute window when the sun kissed the sea horizon. Low-angle upward framing was selected after repeated trials; to capture the sunburst flares and rim lighting glowing along the skirt's sheer edges, I had to continuously calibrate my posture atop the craggy rocks. Raising an arm against the sea breeze looked effortless, but in reality, fierce gusts constantly plastered the long wig and fluttering silks across my face, leaving us to rapid-fire shutters during momentary lulls in the wind. The sparkling particulate spray of crashing waves looked phenomenal against the backlight, though it left the rocks slick with moisture, requiring me to lower my center of gravity to stay stable and safe.
