This shoot was an exploration into a ballet-inspired theme for W from Arknights. The overall style presents a sharp, striking contrast with the character's canonical design, offering a wonderfully fresh creative experience for me.

Let's start with the wardrobe details. To align with the Ballet style concept, the costume incorporated extensive tiers of layered tulle. The fitted corset bodice features delicate dual-tone gold and silver embroidery that casts gorgeous specular reflections under the studio lights. The skirt is designed with fluffy feather-like tulle; to maintain its full, voluminous flare at all times, multiple structural support tiers were built inside. The iconic demon horn headpiece crowning my head was finished in black and red with a high-gloss lacquer, forging a stark contrast against the pure white wig. The black choker around my neck served as the finishing touch, preserving a hint of the character's signature rebelliousness amidst the graceful elegance.

For makeup, I focused primarily on accentuating the scarlet eyes. To prevent the makeup from getting washed out by the all-white attire, the eyeshadow blend was extended slightly wider and the eyeliner was drawn longer; combined with the red contact lenses, this gave my gaze far more commanding intensity on camera. The base remained sheer and luminous porcelain, finished with a fresh water-red lip tint to avoid heavy textures that might compromise the airy lightness of ballet.

Posing during the session was far more demanding than one might imagine. While my postures appear effortless in the photos, sustaining that hallmark ballet weightlessness required engaging my core for every single take. For instance, in the pose where I stand on one leg with arms raised overhead on tiptoe, I had to continuously balance my center of gravity without a moment's lapse. The texture of the white Stockings appeared remarkably crisp under the soft light; however, balancing barefoot across the plush rug generated substantial friction, requiring extra caution during steps and pivots. In Photo 2, the gesture of lifting the skirt with both hands looked simple on the surface, but secretly demanded steadying the long red tail prop anchored behind my waist so it wouldn't shift off-axis or break visual continuity.

Setting up the studio set was equally intensive. Expansive blue-and-white floral arrangements and white Roman pillars, draped with translucent white chiffon curtains, lent immense airy depth to the space. The white birdcage and glass candelabras in the foreground, though static props, introduced rich compositional layers under high-key illumination. The photographer utilized generous softboxes that dissolved virtually all harsh shadows, chasing that ethereal ambiance suspended between reality and dreams.

Stepping into the set dressed in this ensemble brought a curious sense of serene composure. While the character's core temperament is fiercely flamboyant, the discipline of ballet endowed her with a restrained, coiled strength. The angle of an outstretched arm, the subtle tilt of the chin—all were refined repeatedly before the mirror. Overall, from wardrobe preparation to on-set coordination, the team moved in seamless harmony, and the final frames fully realized my vision for this thematic Anime cosplay.
