[Sangonomiya Kokomi cosplay] Practical Shoot with Bunny Ears Outfit: This Blue and White Palette Is So Comfortable

This set of photos took quite a while to prepare, from color-tuning the wig to tweaking costume details. Sangonomiya Kokomi in Genshin Impact features a primary color scheme of blue, white, and pink. To match the bunny ears element this time, I adjusted the palette to be even fresher: the bunny ear headpiece uses light pink lined with purplish-blue, echoing the dress's blue bow and white ruffles. The wig's length and layering were also custom-trimmed to ensure the top wouldn't look bulky under the headpiece, while pearl strands on both sides frame the face and hairline nicely.

The shooting location was a regular indoor bedroom, as I wanted to focus on the details of the outfit itself rather than going outdoors. With wood grain flooring and white walls, the light reflection was soft and free of unwanted colors. I used one main light plus a reflector to simulate natural light as much as possible, because this dress features many translucent sheer skirts that form a gentle halo as light passes through—the texture is amazing. The first pose sitting on the floor was meant to showcase the flared skirt, while the subsequent shots sitting on a white rolling stool stretched out the leg lines, fully presenting the over-the-knee white thigh-highs and purplish-blue shoe covers.

Speaking of shoe covers, these custom light purple-blue platform shoe covers were definitely a highlight of this outfit. They keep the feet looking neat while forming a visual loop with the bow and inner ears. The white stockings also have small bow decorations, and I'm very pleased with the exquisite details. During the shoot, I chose to hold the phone with both hands for mirror selfies because it made my arm posture look natural, and adding white gloves made the off-the-shoulder upper body design look even more elegant. The huge blue bow on the chest was designed with a double-layer structure—the inner layer is stiff satin and the outer layer is transparent mesh—so it maintains a 3D effect even at eye level.

Regarding composition, I really like the angle in the second picture. Sitting in the center of the stool with legs extended forward, the phone just blocks my face so the viewer's attention stays focused on the outfit's layers and lines. Although the red door and white radiator in the background bring a bit of domestic feel, they actually add a touch of authentic daily life rather than stiff studio vibes. In post-processing, I mainly toned down the highlights to make the white and blue saturation more balanced while preserving the natural wood floor texture, without over-smoothing or liquefying, because I feel keeping a bit of realness from the moment is more important in Cosplay photography.

The original intention of this shoot was to present a softer, more playful image that contrasts with Kokomi's usual calm strategist impression. Bunny ears are a very concrete element, and paired with the pink hair, the whole vibe becomes lively. Writing this share is also a way to record my personal insights on Anime-style fashion coordination and selfie angles—such as knee direction and ankle placement while sitting, which directly affect visual leg length. I tried several poses before finalizing this set. Preventing the costume from slipping was also key: the off-the-shoulder puff sleeves easily slide off without being secured, so I used some fashion tape to stay comfortable and natural without any wardrobe mishaps. For the translucency of the Bunny ears white thigh-highs, I picked a medium thickness that hides knee creases without making the legs look thick.

Overall, this was a relaxed yet detail-oriented indoor creation, with careful thought behind everything from material selection and light control to final photo selection.
