The time-limited shoot at the Genshin Impact booth lasted just ten seconds, requiring me to calibrate posture and expression in an instant to bring Alice to life. To capture satisfying shots at C108, I conducted multiple test fittings to fine-tune costume details beforehand. Visually, the most prominent element was the halo headpiece with its intricate gold curves and red wing ornaments. Its weight put serious strain on the neck, so internal clips had to be adjusted extremely tight to prevent drooping within those precious seconds. Additionally, the fit of the long silver-white hair and elf ear prosthetics directly shaped facial contours, requiring careful positioning when securing the wig.
The classic red, black, and white color scheme worked wonders: the white sheer blouse was airy, while the red arm sleeves and textured black leather gloves added tactile grit. The gloves naturally added a sharp, decisive presence to hand poses, giving my reaching gestures genuine momentum. Metallic geometric hip ornaments enhanced physical weight and visual richness during dynamic movement. Coordinating all components gave me a deeper grasp of translating this 2D persona into tangible form.
A ten-second window tests on-the-spot improvisation to the extreme. The photographer pre-set angles while I mentally rehearsed physical trajectories. The first photo captured a forward lean, reaching toward the lens with a black-gloved right hand—chin tucked, gaze locked on the glass with a subtle flash of teeth to convey an agile yet mysterious aura. The second shot raised the left hand with a wider smile, channeling the character's playful spark. The booth's blue backdrop created a complementary cold contrast against the warm costume tones, making facial contours pop. Surrounding cheers and rapid shutter bursts melted into ambient fuel, turning meticulous preparation into a rewarding, character-faithful cosplay experience.
