[Ganyu Cosplay] Genshin Impact Ganyu Cosplay photo set sharing, the dreamy atmosphere of the ice-blue tulle dress

The shoot for this Ganyu Cosplay has finally finished smoothly, and I was amazed as soon as I got the returned photos. As mentioned in the description, P1, P2, and P3 all carry great tension, interpreting the stylistic differences of this look in front of the lens from different angles. This time, the overall shooting style was set to cool and dreamy, so I put a lot of thought into scene building and lighting selection.

Let's talk about costume, makeup, and props first. For the wig, I chose a relatively translucent ice-blue shade with a certain luster. After styling it into airy curls, it restores the lightness of this Blue-haired girl setting quite well. As for the headpiece, the red-and-black curved horns serve as a visual color anchor for the entire look; during installation, double fixations with buckles and glue were used to ensure no displacement whether lying flat or standing. The main tone of the costume is a white-to-blue gradient. The upper white tube top corset took a long time to pattern-make; the heart-shaped cutout at the chest and silver-gray trim decoration present a metallic-like texture under soft lighting. The sleeves feature a detachable design, pairing spliced blue translucent tulle with white lace, giving just the right drape.

The layered tulle skirt on the lower body was the challenging part of this look, as it needed to create a gradient effect from white to blue and then to light purple while maintaining the puffiness of each layer of tulle. During the shoot, it was paired with white cross-strapped high-heeled shoes. These thin straps refine the lines of the ankles and calves, which not only elongates visual proportions but also fits the overall anime aesthetic.

Moving on to the selection of venue and props. To highlight the "cool" atmosphere, I specially selected a platform with high reflectivity. Photo 1 and Photo 3 were taken on this reflective platform, where the ground acts like a mirror, reflecting the blue tulle skirt's shadow and the luster of the pearl necklace. The white pearl strings and shredded tulle scattered on the ground were intentionally placed to complement the lying posture composition. During shooting, my body needed to fully align with the curve of the floor—maintaining a stretched neck line while controlling the force of gripping the tulle in my hand—which actually demanded a certain level of core strength and posture control. For the lying-back pose in P3, gauging the extent of stretching arms upwards was actually quite tricky; thanks to the photographer's guidance right before clicking the shutter, we captured that lazy yet natural sense of relaxation.

P2 was shot on a custom miniature landscape stage, where white European-style railings, a large area of blue hydrangeas, along with a white decorative birdcage and candlestick on the lower left, together constructed an official illustration-like scene resembling an ice crystal palace. The large white drapery hanging behind was lit with a cool blue rim light. In that scene, standing on the round platform and lifting my skirt hem, I utilized the lightness of the tulle dress to showcase another flowing form of the character's dress hem. The large blue butterfly on the floor was also a clever touch, elevating the color harmony of the entire image.

The pre-shoot preparation was actually quite complex; due to the many layers of the costume, a little carelessness would cause the tulle to entangle around the shoelaces, requiring the skirt hem and ribbons to be rearranged every time we shifted angles. For makeup, a translucent base was specially chosen, paired with soft pink eyeshadow to neutralize the overall cool tone, and a glossy nude-pink shade for the lips, ensuring the face maintained natural clarity even under strong lights and reflectors. Because of the heavy use of reflective materials in this shoot, it demanded high proficiency in lighting—both guaranteeing shadow details and preventing highlights on the floor and tulle dress from overexposing. After the final photos came out, the overall visual effect lacked any strong plastic feel, showcasing a glass-like texture instead. This set of Genshin Impact cosplay photos is both an expression of my understanding of the character and a practice of my own cosplay aesthetics; the overall experience was fantastic.
