The original intention behind shooting this set of Azur Lane Formidable white bunny girl look was to create a dreamy atmosphere with a classical, vintage feel. In terms of costume, hair, and makeup, the black-and-white lace paired with white fluffy bunny ears, along with the iconic red eyes and platinum-blonde long hair, visually creates a powerful contrast. It retains the character's cute and playful nature while showcasing a sliver of her elegance and mystery under specific light and shadow.

For the equipment this time, I used a Fujifilm X-S20 paired with a Viltrox 56mm F1.2 lens. When the aperture is opened wide, this lens can very smoothly lock down the spatial relationship between the subject and the background. In the vintage study scene, I intentionally utilized natural light combined with an indoor warm light source to create a textural collision among the environmental elements like the wooden bookshelves, the gramophone, and that vintage sofa with intricate patterns. The soft bokeh brought by the large aperture sets off the red eyes and white hair on the character's face, making them look exceptionally translucent, draping the entire frame in a creamy, warm-toned atmosphere.

During the shoot, I tried several different postures. The sitting pose on the sofa requires special attention to the neatness of the costume, because this set of black-and-white short dress and black stockings can easily generate unnatural creases when folded or leaning back, so before every shift in action, I would help adjust the model's cuffs and skirt hem. Especially that bunny ear headpiece with plush elements, the material is quite fluffy, so when posing in a side-lying or half-reclining action, how to keep the bunny ears standing upright without looking messy is one of the focal points of composition.

In terms of expression management, I hoped to convey a feeling of being "both cute and a little bit proud." A straightforward gaze into the lens, coordinated with gestures like gently touching the lips with a hand or leaning against the sofa cushions, can naturally display her sense of composure. Meanwhile, for the shots where I sit on the wooden floor, stacked vintage books and empty picture frames are utilized as foreground and background supplements to give the frame more narrative extensibility.

In fact, every time shooting a piece with strong ACGN attributes and a specific style, a balance needs to be found among props, makeup, and scenes. For instance, the placement of books on the floor looks like random scattering, but we adjusted the angles several times on-site to ensure the colors of the book covers entering the frame harmonized with the overall warm-toned environment. Coupled with the glossy reflection of the shoes, the utilization of light and shadow elevates the texture of the entire photo set significantly.

I really love the texture presented by this set of photos; it doesn't excessively pursue extreme vividness in color, but uses warm tones, vignetting, and soft light to make the white bunny girl image fit more of a vintage oil painting feel. I hope these shooting insights and shares can provide some reference when everyone tries similar styles of cosplay photography. If you want to shoot a vintage, warm texture, you can put more effort into the lighting time, and then combine the elements of the scene to blend the atmosphere.
