Sorting through photos after returning from the convention, I saw these Convention photos returned by the photographer. This time I cosplayed Shao Siming from The Legend of Qin. The venue was packed that day, so the roving photographer found a relatively quiet corner before we began shooting. Preparing this Ancient style cosplay ensemble actually took quite a bit of thought; the long purple wig required careful layering to avoid looking stiff. The veil was custom-made from a translucent fabric that subtly revealed the eye makeup on camera. The fan prop behind my back was the trickiest element—not only was it heavy, but it also easily snagged the long hair, requiring our assistant to constantly adjust its position. The brown leather belt and ruby ornaments at the waist added depth to the overall silhouette. What pleased me most about this Stockings cosplay outfit was the thigh-high stockings featuring unique cloud patterns, which, combined with matching heels, looked wonderfully textured under the venue lighting. The photographer's posing direction was crisp and decisive, especially for the shot sitting on a high stool holding a virtual glowing butterfly—in reality, I was holding nothing, relying purely on imagining the action midair. The other profile and half-body shots primarily highlighted the details of the veil and fan. The shoot for these Convention photos went smoothly; although it was somewhat warm and space was tight, the photographer was extraordinarily patient, capturing angles that matched the character's aesthetic perfectly. The heels were a bit high, making prolonged standing tiring, so I spent most breaks resting on the stool. Overall, even though I've worn this costume a few times before, each session brings a fresh feeling. Seeing these final photos makes all the effort poured into styling the wig and props completely worthwhile.
