The theme and color palette for this Studio photoshoot were distinctly defined, focusing primarily on the interplay between purple and white. The outfit featured a purple tube top adorned with gold tassels, paired with a puffy skirt boasting purple patterns on a white base, and layered with translucent sheer wide sleeves. To stay true to the character's design, the wig was styled with symmetrical short curly buns, embellished with purple blossoms and ribbon bows. For makeup, purple contact lenses and matching eyeshadow were the key highlights, giving my gaze greater clarity and penetration before the camera, which paired with bold red lips made the entire look exceptionally refined. The fabric textures displayed a wonderful luster under studio lighting, especially the sheer cuffs and the gradient prints of the white skirt, which produced rich visual depth during movement. The golden tassels swayed with every step, breathing vibrant life into what could have been a static ensemble.

The set design was crafted with immense thought. Wooden folding screens, benches, and low tables formed the foundational architecture, surrounded by lush hanging wisteria blossoms. Complemented by a round artificial moon backdrop and warm yellow lanterns, it evoked an ethereal, fairyland-like ambiance. During shooting, I held a folding fan inscribed with calligraphy, along with a Chinese brush and scroll as supporting props. These items not only enriched the composition, but also made posing flow much more naturally. Because the scene had many decorative elements, space was deliberately preserved in framing to let the wisteria serve as both foreground bokeh and backdrop, deepening the field of view. The cool white light of the artificial moon and the warm glow of the lanterns struck a balanced warm-cool contrast, keeping the space visually engaging.

For pose design, beyond traditional seated postures, glancing back, and partially concealing the face with the fan, I incorporated playful gestures like lifting one leg. The use of the folding fan and brush lent the series both literary elegance and spirited charm. The studio lighting was meticulously layered; side rim-lighting illuminated the hair strands and the sheer gauze over the shoulders, significantly elevating the atmospheric quality. Throughout the session, the photographer continually guided me to capture an airy, weightless posture—repeatedly refining the opening angle of the fan, the grip on the brush, and the direction of my gaze. To capture the skirt fanning out dynamically, I tried several single-leg jumping poses until we locked in the most flattering airborne flare of the pleats.

Collaborating with Shiyue this time made communication seamless, thanks to their all-in-one styling, photography, and post-production studio setup. Throughout our Zhengzhou photoshoot session, the team's control over details was impeccable—from fabric textures to prop positioning, everyone strove to recreate that fantastical, aesthetic aura. The playful moniker 'King Xiao Qiao' adds a commanding presence to this character, so I aimed to showcase a confident yet adorable demeanor. My biggest takeaway was how a Studio photoshoot enables precise control over every beam of light, offering far greater mastery over fine details compared to outdoor shoots.

From head to toe, the character's styling and props felt wonderfully complete, and this purple-toned wardrobe showed off gorgeous texture beneath warm studio illumination. The beauty of a studio session lies in the freedom to readjust lighting and posing repeatedly until the perfect frame is captured. From smoothing the wig and touching up makeup to endlessly tweaking the angles of the fan and brush, the entire process was detailed yet immensely fulfilling. Bringing a 2D character into reality is an experience I truly cherish; every shutter click immortalizes that character's living spirit. Channeling their personality through body language and props within a defined space is, without doubt, the most captivating aspect of cosplay.
