This time, I finally prepared and completed the shooting of this styling of Shu in Arknights. To restore the character's unique temperament, which lies somewhere between a deity and worldly fireworks, from the preliminary wig trimming to the pattern-making of costume details, we repeatedly communicated and adjusted many times.

Let's talk about the makeup and styling part first. The wig uses long straight hair spliced with yellow and bright blue. Both sides of the top of the head need to be fixed with a complex headpiece featuring blue dragon horns and white tassels, paired with a bronze-colored hollow hair accessory and leaf-shaped earrings, bringing out the overall layering. To give the face a more non-human elf-like feel, besides wearing elf ear props, I used a large area of pink eyeshadow to blend the eye sockets in the makeup, matching light blue contact lenses and choosing a matte red lip color so that the three-dimensional facial contours can still be maintained under strong light. The arms were also painted with interwoven orange and blue patterns using body paint, matching half-finger gloves with an orange base and blue-purple lines. These small details are particularly bonus points in front of the lens.

In terms of clothing, this white ancient style cosplay fantasy outfit has a very strong sense of layering. The upper body is a thin halter base, with semi-transparent sheer tulle pieced at the neckline and cuffs, and light blue and golden embroidery on the lapels and sleeves, making the fabric look very light when walking. The skirt hem of the lower body is also a lightweight, translucent material. To facilitate movement, I directly chose to go barefoot. Regarding accessories, the pearl metal necklace at the neck fills the void of the off-the-shoulder design, making the visual center more concentrated.

The shooting scene was chosen indoors with a wood-carved couch and a round moon gate, surrounded by a large number of pink peach blossoms and branches. I sat sideways on the couch, legs naturally extended, hands raised to pose like casting a spell or making a hand seal, trying to soften my gaze as much as possible, attempting to capture the character's aloof yet mysterious state. A difficulty encountered during shooting was that because the material of the clothes and skirt hem was too lightweight and translucent, it easily lost texture under strong studio lights. We finally adjusted the angle of the main light source, utilizing back-side lighting to outline the character's edges, which not only retained the lightness of the clothes but also made the light and shadow layers richer.

The entire shooting process went very smoothly. Although posing on the wood couch while wearing the headpiece and long wig was somewhat restricted, the final photo effect made me feel that all the preparation was totally worth it. Seeing the texture of light and shadow falling on the sheer tulle and barefoot in the final photos, I feel that the character's gentle yet mysterious side has been successfully showcased.
