The setting of Yunmeng Marsh always carries a translucent and mysterious aura. This time in the old forests of Meizhou, with the naturally extending tree trunks and ample smoke, I attempted to materialize Dyadia's ethereal agility. The color palette and draping of the costume put the fabric patterns heavily to the test, especially the wavy piping on the cuffs and the metallic ornaments around the waist; during the actual shoot, I had to pay close attention to the direction of the folds.

The wig uses an ice-blue gradient with a few white highlights to match that extremely light, icy hair color from the game. The eye makeup avoids heavy color blocks, relying instead on fine shimmer and elongated eyeliner to complement the character's cool aloofness. The physical props I brought—that slightly chubby pink sprite and the ethereal blue puff—were actually quite tricky with angles when held during the shoot; they could easily look clunky if I wasn't careful. However, once blended with the environment's light and shadow, it truly felt like an accidental encounter with spiritual beasts in the woods.

Because the branches were thick and tilted at various angles, squatting and sitting on them while wearing high heels required constant balance. The photographer was very patient waiting for me to find my center of gravity, trying out various low-angle and upward-looking compositions without damaging the tulle material of the costume. This interwoven light and shadow, combined with the drifting smoke, ultimately delivered a soft color reproduction through the lens.

Choosing Meizhou for this shoot was largely due to its lush vegetation, unadorned old trees, and natural hollow tree cavities. Without needing excessive artificial set design, it creates a wondrous connection with the character's world, adding a touch of natural narrative to this set of photos.
