When the spring sunshine is just right, putting on a cute idol-style dress to shoot an outdoor set in the park can be considered a fixed program for me every spring.

This time, I chose a light and bright idol-style outfit for a Girls Band look, featuring a blue-and-white top paired with a highly layered short skirt. The metallic tassels on the skirt hem are very eye-catching, and the orange bow tie at the collar forms a great color echo with the overall nautical elements of the clothing. The pink star-shaped electric guitar prop in my hand was the key to this styling; although it felt a bit heavy during the actual shoot, holding it to strike poses instantly enhanced that vibrant Girls Band vibe. Especially when shooting under the sunshine, the red baked paint texture of the prop was extremely eye-catching.

However, it was only after looking back at the photos after the shoot that I embarrassingly realized the wig length far exceeded expectations, stretching out a massive section longer than the styling I originally envisioned. Because of this silly mistake, I didn't notice it at all during the shoot, joyfully immersing myself in shooting across various locations. As a result, I completely broke down into tears when sorting through the photos at home. Since the wig didn't match expectations, I had to quietly give up the tags I originally wanted to include, which is indeed a great pity and counts as quite a lesson.

Several locations of this outdoor shoot were highly atmospheric. At the beginning, we took photos in a sitting posture at the stone steps of the park, where the depth of the steps combined with the afternoon natural light looked very clean. This sitting perspective was unexpectedly photogenic; the extension of the legs elongated the overall frame quite a bit, and the white lace-up mid-calf boots matched the overall light-colored outfit very well. The white marble railings and classical European stone pillar pavilions in the background added some texture to the frame, and the moment I stood up and raised the guitar, I felt incredibly happy during this Kasuga Park outdoor location session.

The most successful photo spot was probably in front of the park's carousel. The bright amusement facility background paired perfectly with my pink guitar, and the playful pose standing on one leg added a lot of dynamic flavor to the entire photo set. Later, we also moved to an indoor arcade for a set. The neon light strips of the claw machines carried a hallucinatory coloration, and the ambient light mixed with the pink and purple lighting lent those few photos an even more unique atmosphere. The smiling face looking back was also a moment I am highly satisfied with.

As someone who has always loved the idol style, doing an outdoor shoot with this theme is actually very stress-relieving. Although a minor regret was left this time due to the wig length issue, the shooting process itself was filled with joy. In fact, every outdoor shoot comes with various unpredictable situations—failing to find the right lighting angle, prop components falling off, or the wig not being well-managed. These authentic and somewhat hilarious moments are precisely the most interesting part of playing cosplay.

This everyday shoot carried minor mistakes and was far from flawless, but it recorded the most authentic me this spring. In this season where everything reawakens, being able to leave such a set of photos in the park means I haven't let this wonderful spring day go to waste.
