Shooting this Goddess of Victory themed Polar bear plush tactical gear in the convention studio truly made me experience what carrying heavy weight feels like. The thickness of the coat exceeded all expectations—especially the pair of polar bear ears on top, which were actually quite heavy, putting noticeable strain on my neck after wearing them for a while. To preserve the polar bear's adorable charm, the coat was crafted from faux long plush, but it wasn't breathable at all; even with the cool studio lights on, I broke into a heavy sweat.
The inner blue Bodysuit was made of lustrous spandex with an ultra-tight, form-fitting wrap, putting high demands on body silhouette—even the slightest fullness in the stomach after eating would show, so I barely drank any water the night before. The front of the Bodysuit featured a zipper design, with white straps and thigh rings along the sides, and the pocket happened to fit my phone. This outfit was on point with its sexy appeal; to accentuate my leg curves, I deliberately shifted my weight onto my heels and angled my body slightly, using the intersection of frontal and side perspectives to highlight the contour.
The firearm prop was very substantial in weight, featuring anti-slip textures on the grip and a blue-and-white paint finish complete with bear paw prints—incredibly detailed. But holding it for long made my arms intensely sore, and the plush gloves also reduced grip dexterity; to steady the gun and strike various tactical poses, I practically gritted my teeth with effort. For styling, I specifically chose a silver-gray short wig paired with matching headphones. To harmonize with the plush texture, the eye makeup was kept clean and translucent, with blushed cheeks to create a striking 'gap-moe' contrast against the ruthless sci-fi firearm and Bodysuit.
The convention hall was crowded and vast, surrounded by all kinds of light stands and reflectors. To avoid messy wires and equipment in the background, the photographer had to keep camera angles as low as possible, using large apertures to blur out the backdrop. The studio lighting leaned cool, primarily relying on overhead spotlights and side softboxes; their reflections were very pronounced against the Bodysuit, requiring me to constantly adjust my footing and angles. While the outfit's silhouette was stunning, it heavily restricted movement—most of the time I could only shuffle in small steps. Wearing this gear walking around all afternoon, the moment I took off the coat, I felt as light as a feather. Though exhausted to the point of wobbly legs, seeing the final Convention photos achieve that perfect balance of hardcore cuteness and alluring charm made every bit of effort completely worth it in this cosplay shoot.
