[Aoba Suzukaze Cosplay] Birthday Little Devil in NEW GAME!: Happy Birthday to Me

This set of birthday celebratory photos was specially planned to celebrate my birthday this time. I chose a Little devil cosplay theme because it brings both a playful Halloween feel and fits perfectly with a birthday moment that calls for ceremony and cuteness.

Let's talk about the costume details. The long light-purple hair was styled into fluffy twintails, paired with two reddish-brown devil horns and purple pom-pom hair ornaments, making the visual style instantly lively. The small devil wings on the back, along with the heart-shaped tail decoration, maxed out the overall character vibe. The main color of the dress is black, with white ruffles and red accents at the neckline and waist. Most special is the purple plush trim along the bottom hem of the skirt, which perfectly supports the skirt's silhouette when sitting down on the tatami. Black over-the-knee stockings complemented by eye-catching red bows on the thighs create a strong visual contrast with this red-black-purple palette, which was a highlight I intentionally emphasized while planning this outfit.

For the shooting ambiance that day, a warm-toned indoor setting was selected. The background featured an off-white sofa with several red decorative cards posted on the wall so the overall picture wouldn't look too empty. Regarding props, a themed cake spread with cream was prepared, along with cute cupcakes and a bowl of cookies—all serving as props to create a natural sense of interaction, rather than simply standing there for rigid poses.

Special thanks to photographer Chaoshen this time. During early communication, I expressed that I wanted an everyday vibe with a hint of devilish playfulness, and he understood the style quickly. On set, he guided me on adjusting sitting posture and leveraging side lighting to highlight facial contours and garment layering. His photo editing speed blew me away, efficiently finishing the post-processing for this set of Birthday cosplay photos.

Shooting in this kind of cosplay outfit also came with some personal tips. Because the skirt is flared out, you must be careful to smooth down the hem when sitting to avoid accidental exposure. How to wear the Black over-the-knee stockings is also crucial—if the tying position of the red bows is slightly looser or tighter, the visual effect will vary significantly and affect overall body proportions. Throughout the shoot, taking cookies from the table or holding the cake in both hands were actions designed to add interactive elements, making the photos look like actually celebrating a birthday rather than an empty set of rigid poses.

Doing this cosplay for my birthday was not just about taking photos, but also a relaxed and enjoyable moment in my cosplay journey. Through the photographer's lens and the scene setup, combining 2D anime character traits with a real-life milestone like a birthday was intrinsically fun. The overall atmosphere presented in the photos also fit the relaxed vibe I originally set out to achieve. I hope everyone can feel a bit of this birthday joy through this set of photos.
