Leaving this set of Kamisato Ayaka cosplay on the streets of Kyoto felt like a race against time. Before setting out, I spent a long time choosing online and finally decided on this blue furisode with pink flowers, wanting to recreate the elegant aura of the eldest daughter of the Kamisato Clan from Genshin Impact as much as possible. Paired with a silver-white wig and small bow hair accessories on both sides, along with a matching fluffy bow at the waist, the overall blue and pink tones looked great against the ancient streets of Kyoto.

The weather that day was truly unpredictable; the sun was playing hide-and-seek, appearing for five minutes then hiding for half an hour. To snap more photos while the lighting was good, we were practically in a 100-meter sprint the whole time. My biggest regret was that I originally wore geta sandals, but as you can see, Kyoto is full of sloping stone-paved paths, making it impossible to run in them. To seize those few minutes of sunshine, I decisively switched back to comfortable uniform shoes. The first three photos are Kyoto street photography snapshots from when the sun finally peeked out—I didn't even have time to change my shoes, and it felt like we were shooting on the go.

Being able to capture landmarks like "Hanamikoji" and "Shijo" on the street signs was an unexpected bonus. Squatting for shots in front of kimono shops, buildings, and street corners, I pressed the shutter while the light was just right. Although the shooting process was hurried and chaotic, this five-minute window of sunshine caught in the photos, along with this blue and pink furisode, became the most special souvenir of this Kyoto trip for my casual cosplay journey and kimono photoshoot.
