[Takao cosplay] Azur Lane: Capturing Playful Moments in a Classroom Corner - Image 2

This black and white sailor suit look was shot in a clean classroom setting, with an arrangement primarily featuring white walls, wooden desks, and a whiteboard. The clean and bright background color perfectly highlights the outline of the black costume. In terms of makeup, the focus was adapted to the character's signature amber-brown colored contacts. Through a slightly upturned eyeliner at the outer corners and natural shadow transitions, the gaze feels much more lively in front of the camera. The wig was specifically trimmed with layered shattered hair and outward-flipped styles on both sides, paired with a large white bow on top of the head, visually reinforcing the character's sharp and playful traits.

The cut and texture of the costume were the focus of preparation this time. The top features a classic black short-style sailor suit, where the delicate white lines on the collar contrast beautifully with the necktie. The cut of the hem sits right at the waistline, optimizing the overall visual proportions when paired with the high-waisted pleated skirt. The transparency and glossiness of the black stockings under the strong studio lights also underwent multiple contrast tests to present a clean and delicate texture.

Regarding the use of props, an orange right-angle triangle ruler and a dark grey backpack were specially prepared. In Figure 2, the coordinate sketch and the word "good" casually drawn on the whiteboard create a wonderful echo with the triangle ruler, turning a simple studio set into a cozy feel of an everyday classroom. The removed black leather shoes are loosely placed by the feet, which, paired with a side-sitting posture, conveys a relaxed state.

For Figure 1, we experimented with a foreground-blurred composition looking upward from beneath the desk, close to the ground. Looking through the bottom of the desk, combined with the blurry black plush texture in front of the frame and an outstretched hand movement, it breaks the conventional framing paradigm and creates a private sense of space, as if directly talking to the viewer. This camera position demands high completeness in close-up makeup and styling, and fortunately, the blush and lip color blending remained clear and transparent even under the low-angle perspective.

To pursue pure light quality in the frame, the studio shoot mainly utilized softboxes combined with reflectors for multi-point lighting. This ensures sharp facial contours while avoiding harsh shadows, allowing the black and white color scheme of the costume to show sufficient layers in a bright environment. In particular, the fabric of the sailor suit presents a matte texture under the soft light, forming a subtle difference with the fabric sheen of the bow.

During the shooting process, the focus was placed on fine-tuning the demeanor. The gesture of holding the ruler and the backward glance in Figure 2 strive to convey a casual yet vividly captured vivacity. The entire makeup base was set with multiple layers using a setting spray, which, combined with the wig's styling, allows the details to remain clean and sharp during movements like bowing the head or turning around. This shoot blends the character's own temperament with daily school elements, hoping to present a piece of work that reproduces the character's charm while bringing a fresh photographic perspective.
