This time, I experimented with blending Nilou's classic character elements with a Sailor suit to create an everyday character impression outfit. First, for the wig styling, I chose long, vibrant red hair, deliberately smoothing it out to achieve a sleeker, silky texture. The head accessories are the core of this look: the black curved horn headpieces feature metallic sheen and gold trim, paired with the golden forehead chain and blue gemstone, making the Genshin Impact character instantly recognizable. In terms of makeup, warm-toned eyeshadow was applied to echo the red hair, paired with blue-purple contact lenses to give the eyes a more radiant and spirited look.
For wardrobe, I opted for a light-blue short-sleeved sailor-collar shirt (Sailor suit) tied with a matching ribbon bow at the neckline, paired with a navy high-waisted pleated skirt. To avoid visual monotony, I accessorized the skirt's hip with a golden circular ornament bearing blue spiral patterns and white feathers, complemented by a light-blue clear-window ita-bag filled with colorful pins and badges, injecting a fresh, youthful vitality.
For lower-body details, I chose over-the-knee white socks (White stockings) coordinated with clear chunky-heeled high heels. Leaving a gap between the White stockings and the navy skirt hem highlights the classic Absolute territory, visually sculpting the leg silhouette. The transparent heel design adds height while maintaining an airy lightness, preventing the lower half from feeling heavy.
The weather on the day of the shoot was stellar; clear blue skies, fluffy white clouds, and outdoor wooden railings provided a clean, translucent backdrop. For posing, in Photo 1, I leaned sideways against the railing and looked back over my shoulder toward the camera—an angle that beautifully elongates side body lines and leg extension while showing off the flowing drape of the headpiece and long hair. Photo 2 features a three-quarter turn toward the lens, resting one hand on the railing while placing the other naturally across my chest for a relaxed stance that clearly showcases the overall coordination of the shirt and skirt.
Outdoor shooting under natural light demands careful attention to lighting gradients. Fortunately, the sunlight was gentle that day, and reflections bouncing off the water surface cast an even, luminous highlight over the figure. For posing direction, I kept myself as natural and relaxed as possible, avoiding rigid poses to make the resulting frames feel vivid and alive. This styling—merging character elements with everyday uniforms—faithfully preserves the character's spirit while remaining versatile for conventions or casual outdoor shoots. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the outcome of this Nilou cosplay!
